Great location. Clean, modern and hotel-quality accommodation. All you need for a weekend stay.

Pros: Centrally located in Bedale. The accommodation is a mix of modern and traditional design, it suited our needs for a dog friendly stay with it's wooden floors and hard wearing carpets in the hall. The kitchen is high spec with a Belfast sink, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and hob/cooker. There is enough basic cutlery and utensils for light meals but it wasn't necessary to cook as there are a few cafes, pubs and takeaways on the high street. We picked a particularly cold time of year (-2c) but we were able to keep warm with the electric wall mounted radiators that can be adjusted to suit. All instructions are provided by the owner. We are used to taking most of the essentials but there was tea, coffee, condiments, toiletries, towels and iron and a hairdryer provided.

Cons: Our only concern was parking as it isn't provided or guaranteed although the owners do provide a blue badge which allows 2 hours free parking, these are available in the tourist information centre (not open during our stay). We were lucky to get a space in a free parking area out the front and didn't move the car all weekend. In peak times it might be more difficult but not impossible, I imagine.

Very comfortable - the sort of place you feel relaxed in straight away.

Pros: Spacious, modern and exceptionally clean. Centrally located, but the soundproofing made street noise barely noticeable. The property was pleasantly warm, and the tv showing a log fire was a lovely welcoming touch.
