Idyllic spot

Pros: Beautiful spot. Had everything we needed and was able to have a lovely, relaxed trip away

Cons: Nothing. Although if I have to find one thing the kettle broke but it was my first time using one like it so it could have been user error. And took us a day figure out how to get the bath warm after the fire went out. We got more kindling

Pros: We loved that the little shepherds hut was situated on its own away from everyone and everything. It was very private and peaceful with beautiful scenery and a river running by. The enclosed garden was great for the dog. The hot tub was just a wonderful addition. Loved the little extras, slippers, robes, toiletries, milk etc.

Cons: I don't think there was anything we didn't like. It's obviously very small so with the two of us and a dog, a couple of days was enough. But there was nothing negative

Had a very cosy relaxing time and some well needed rest in a beautiful secluded location!

Pros: The bumble bee decor, the bed was comfy, all the amenities where available and unexpected! It was cute and cosy, peaceful and quiet in a secluded location! And of course the hot tub was a huge bonus!

Cons: Toilet seat didn’t match the toilet! and our gas ran out on our last night 😞 which was inconvenient and kinda ruined our last night. But owners were good to come out and sort it out straight away despite how late it was.

Pros: We have just returned from a lovely stay at Heron Leap. The hut is so nice with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the river walk into the town was so nice. We will definitely be back.

Perfect cozy staycation weekend

Pros: This was a perfect little place in such a lovely serene and private location. The hut has everything you could need, we used the kitchen to cook several meals and the bathroom is great and surprisingly spacious given the size of the hut. Fantastic location for the river walk which was a really beautiful route into town. We really loved our stay and will most likely book to come again.

Cons: We loved every second. The only tip I'd give to anyone visiting in the winter is to allow a good 2-3 hours for the hot tub to heat - seems pretty obvious in hindsight, but the cold weather will certainly add to that heating time which is stated as 60 mins in the instructions. We didn't time that right on the first night, but on the following night we got it lit way earlier and it was glorious - a highlight of the trip.

Hidden little gem with an amazing hot tub

Pros: We loved everything about this place, the hut is really cosy and has everything you could want, the outside area is comfortable with the best hot tub I’ve ever been in. Ideal spot to get into the town, we didn’t do the walk down the river due to the weather but it was so easy to get there by car. We accidentally left items but the owners were kind enough to post them back to me. Would definitely go back again.

Cons: Absolutely nothing

Pros: Lovely quiet spot, comfy bed and well equipped hut. Cosy with everything you need for a short break. Hot tub easy to use once you get the hang of the burner, lovely sat in reading in peace and quiet. Perfect enclosed space for our dogs and enjoyed cooking on the fire pit. Dogs also enjoyed short walks in the surrounding grassed area near the river. We didn't explore as this was purely for relaxation but did go to mother shiptons cave on the way home which is only 10min drive away. Clean property including hot tub :) would recommend.

Cons: Info folder could have had a little more info on pubs, ie if dog friendly and how far away but we did Google a couple so didn't put us off!
