Skipbridge Farm Cottages

With a bit TLC this would be perfect

Pros: The accommodation was nice and cosy and loved the addition of the farm animals for the children. There was 11 of us travelling in total so we had the first 4 cottages. Loved the additional extras - the teas, coffees, cleaning products along with other essentials.

Cons: All rooms suggested that there were sofa beds/pull out beds (which were needed for how many of us were travelling). Unfortunately there was only 1 cottage that had this facility. And upon booking it automatically allocated cottages to people staying in them (which was incorrect) But we thought this would not be an issue due to having additional sofa/pull out beds 1 of our families had 2 adults and 2 children - all accommodation had double beds, which was not suitable. Twin beds may be more appropriate so we had to jiggle sleeping arrangements which was not ideal! Some of the cottages require some TLC in places - especially the first cottage as the front step was non existent as it was all chipped and needs replaced before an accident occurs. The conservatory on the first cottage needs some TLC too - could not even sit in it due the draughts (I know the time of year did not help)

Pros: Lovely house, had everything we needed very clean and comfy, had a delivery of extra wood to the fire and also eggs from the farm, hot tub checked daily

A great, cosy couples getaway location

Pros: Lovely cottage stay, perfect for a little getaway. Cosy fire, comfy bed, good facilities.

Pros: Great stay. When we arrived at the cottage a cat had instantly come to welcome us and ask us to pet them. The staff were very helpful when we had an emergency situation (To the owners, he is fine now). The cottage was very warm and cosy with a great fireplace and we had one of the cats stay overnight and it was even walking with us outside :). All the animals are surprisingly very friendly we had a good time. We even received some homemade eggs from the owners which were very nice.

Pros: I have stayed here several times now and have always been very pleased. The accomodation and location is ideal and so cosy. The owners are also very helpful. Very good price also.

Very friendly owner who gave us all fresh eggs and made us all feel very welcome

Pros: Beautiful properties,we were a group and booked two cottage’s which were fabulous one with its own hot tub in a private terrace.Both cottages we’re decorated to a very high standard and had every amenity you need,we will definitely be back.

Cons: There was absolutely nothing to dislike

Cozy warm stay!

Pros: Perfect for our overnight stay before visiting friends nearby. It was very well equipped and very cozy. Beds were extremely comfortable and the whole cottage was nicely furnished and decorated for Christmas. Very easy to get into York with Park and Ride close by!
