The Barn

Pros: We had a great time at The Barn. It was a perfect location for the Darlo 10k, the property was clean and well-equipped, and the hosts were super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent, had a great time. Great for sightseeing.

Pros: Lovely comfortable cottage, ideal for exploring the Dales and surrounding areas.

Cons: Slightly further away from Bedale than we had expected and no local facilities. However not a major issue

Perfect tranquil hideaway

Pros: We loved everything about the The Barn - picture postcard tranqil location, spacious, clean and with a lovely mezzanine looking out onto the veranda and outside seating area. Full of character but modern and with beautiful bedrooms especially the master with a roll bath. The hosts were very welcoming and happy for us to explore the beautiful garden. Perfect for a friends reunion and there was plenty to do and explore within easy reach of this very scenic area. Would not hesitate to recommend the property and hope to visit again.

Cons: No locks on the bathroom or toilet. Would benefit from a four slice toaster

Pros: The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. The outdoor area is lovely (although we didn't get to use it because of the weather). I also love that there are 2 living rooms!

Cons: I found the bed in the room with the ensuite uncomfortable - it was too hard. But the other beds were comfortable.

Pros: Excellent accommodation, beautifully finished with everything you need for a perfect family getaway.

Pros: How spacious the whole house is. The little things like having milk and biscuits, so you can have a cuppa when u arrive!

Cons: Nothing, it was all really good!

Pros: Welcoming, quiet, tranquil, great base for the area.

Cons: Very small negative comment, no roof velux blinds.

Pros: Very accommodating hosts, excellent property with plenty of amenities, nicely furnished and ideally located

Pros: Very spacious and comfortable. Lovely and cool downstairs in the exceptional hot days we have been having due to the walls being around a foot thick. Upstairs sitting room was light and bright looking out onto the owners beautiful garden.

Cons: There was a window in the roof of the twin bedded room which could have done with a blind on it. No wardrobes just a couple of hooks into the beam which were a bit too high for me to reach. There was a wardrobe in the corridor between the 2 bedrooms which was locked. Might be an idea to leave this open for the 2 rooms to share. These are relatively minor blips but would be worth addressing for future guests. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Pros: Quality furnishings, very comfortable and friendly owners close by.
