nice few days, quiet village location , used park n ride which was very cheap and easily accessible

Pros: Self catering breakfast had a few choices for continental or eggs ,toast etc, and location was quite local and easy access to york city. The host Jackie was so lovely and helpful in everyway with anything we needed, nothing was to much trouble, really happy with the stay and would definitely stay again

Lovely location.

Pros: Good location- in a lovely village and very well positioned for exploring York and surrounding areas. The cottage is comfortable and characterful. We slept well as the area is so quiet. Good communication with hosts beforehand and during the stay. They responded (and acted) quickly when there was a issue with heating.

Cons: Some of the interior seems a little tired and in need of updating. A few items in the kitchen were not checked/cleaned before our stay (air fryer was dirty and a vase of very dead flowers were left on the kitchen table).

Pros: The property is in a peaceful location but close to York. This worked well for us. It is compact but very well done. The layout means the rooms are a good size. The decor and furnishings made it a pleasant place to be. The owners were helpful throughout. The breakfast items were enjoyed by everyone

Cons: The beds were not the most comfortable but were adequate

Pros: The cottage was lovely and quiet tucked away in the small village of Bilborough. Breakfast hamper was great. Lounge room was a lovely retreat.

Cons: Beds in room 2 were uncomfortable. Towels were old and hard and they weren't changed during our stay. Change of towels mid week would have been appreciated. The cottage was cold at night, we would have liked some heating. Overall cleaning was acceptable but the kitchen needed some extra attention.

Lovely spot for one night or more.

Pros: Our second stay at the Piper Cottage. Loved it. The village is calm and very well \

Cons: Nothing bad to report. The place has everything you need and the hosts are very efficient. Should I have something to say, I would have appreciated that the terrace would be a little cleaner. You only have to clean yourself before having breakfast outside and that's not a big deal.

A lovely cottage with all you need to relax and unwind

Pros: There was everything we needed and more. The little gestures of breakfast items to get you through the first morning and also the honesty tray of snacks, soft drinks and wine were so thoughtful. The facilities were clean, tidy and comfortable. Jackie and Richard were easily contactable to answer any questions we had.
