Riverview Cottage at Lido Leisure Park

Pros: Fantastic location next to the River Nidd and an easy walk into Knaresborough. The cottage is well equipped and the upside down living is exactly right to make the best of the views. Lovely characterful building, very cosy with the heating on. The spiral staircase makes the best use of space but may be difficult to navigate for some families. Good facilities on site and staff were very helpful.

Cons: More thought and attention to detail has been put into the upstairs space. The beds are quite low, not a lot of storage in the room and the beds are not the most comfortable. One of the bedrooms has trailing cables(for the internet) placed in a basket, these could easily be tidied away. A curtain or blind on the upstairs balcony window would add to comfort and privacy. The dishwasher doesn't seem to work though this maybe operator error in which case an instruction manual would be useful.

Pros: Excellent facilities , well equipped kitchen, comfortable living area with superb view of the river. Toasty warm (we went in November) but with easily adjustable thermostat. Very comfortable beds. Good strong shower.

Cons: Tiny narrow spiral staircase to the upper floor, looks great but novelty wears off quite quickly. Very tricky going downwards.not suitable for older, infirm or even slightly overweight folk.

Pros: Lovely cottage, spacious, comfortable and nicely set up. It's close to the river and the cafe, which was a treat.

Cons: The spiral staircase was a quite narrow and both the child and the dog struggled to navigate it at first. Not a reason not to book, but definitely not for those with mobility issues.

Good, convenient and a lovely cottage.

Pros: Ease of collecting keys although finding the property in the dark was hard.

Cons: Directions to the property, especially as it was dark.

What a cottage.

Pros: Lovely cottage, very comfortable, great shower and everything you need for a relaxing stay and in a fantastic location right by the river and the really nice cafe. The leisure park is kept in exceptional condition. The the on site tavern has a good selection of beers and nice food although the menu is restricted. Fantastic helpful staff all in all the best site we have stayed on.

Pros: Location. Size and layout really good. Great views and very nice place.

Cons: Spiral staircase was 2 narrow. There were loads of spiders and cobwebs that had clearly been there for some time. The plinth under the sink kept dropping down. Advertisement states there is 2 private parking spaces which isn't true we had 2 cars in these the whole time we was there. They belonged to the front row caravans. Ideally need a sign stating that parking is for cottage had to walk down the steep hill with our belongings.

Very enjoyable the Lido was pristine and a fantastic setting

Cons: Unfortunately no iron or ironing board or hoover or bathroom room accessories ie soap shampoo I did highlight this to reception on departure only to be told They didn't provide these items due to health and safety

Pros: Very friendly meeting at reception and grate help with navigating around the area. Lovely cottage and fantastic location. Can’t get better.

Cons: Wasn’t the comfiest, however. Sofa very uncomfortable also both beds with extremely hard mattresses. We all left with back ache. Also navigating up and down the spiral stairs, is hard work.
