The Coach House at Jervaulx

Fantastic property and location. Very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Great location and everything was well prepared, clean and couldn't be better. Had a code for the keysafe but our host saw us arrive and came out to meet us and gave us the keys. Also advised on local pubs and walks. Loved the log fire and thoroughly enjoyed our shorst stay - we will be back. Modern facilities, very warm and quiet.

Cons: Mains sockets closer to a table for using laptop or the hair dryer. For the latter my wife had to sit in the 2nd bedroom just to be close enough to a socket with a chair and portable mirror. Great rooms and size, but minor problem that all the sockets are of course round the walls and all the seating and tables are in the middle of the room. Perhaps a socket in the kitchen island so you could sit on a stool and use the computer or charge your phone while using it.... Didn't detract from our stay which was fantastic but a suggesed improvement.

A perfect Dales bolt hole.

Pros: The beds were so comfy with proper pillows and sheets (real linen - my favourite!). Generous that the hosts supplied free logs for the log burner. Lovely touch to have the Christmas tree up - and of course the home made flapjack!

Cons: Nothing.

The coach house

Pros: Everything !!!! Coach house was huge , so clean & tidy. Bed was nice & big , kitchen had everything you would need . Lovely little villages surrounding it .

Cons: No christmas tree in december !!!! ( clutching at straws )

Superb all round property with brilliant hosts!

Pros: Great location, instructions to get to the location were very clear, information about attractions including where to eat was to hand. Hosts were lovely and friendly. The property itself is sublime, immaculate, comfortable, spacious, super tasteful with a lovely garden with a table to eat at and comfortable chairs to feel the warmth of the sun as it sets.

Cons: Nothing.

Beautiful property in a stunning location

Pros: Beautiful location next to Jervaulx Abbey. Atmospheric, peaceful and ever so relaxing! The property was very spacious, spotless, great layout out and beautifully styled. Lovely wood burner, with plenty of wood provided, and excellent instructions - perfect on a chilly evening. The welcome basket was a real treat, too. Didn't want to leave!

A perfect stay in a beautiful cottage

Pros: Spaciousness, cleanliness, central heating (it was freezing cold outside). Very stylish and tasteful interior design. The nearby abbey grounds make the place even more special.

Pros: Everything. Fabulous. Very spacious. It was the best cottage I ever stayed at. Pure luxury. Fully renovated facilities. Top high quality standard. Super well equipped. It had everything (to the tiniest detail) you could possibly wish for. Home away from home. Top quality furnishings with elegant taste in all rooms. Bathroom top: Bath, shower, hot water, soft towels. Kitchen new and fully equipped with gadgets . Great WiFi. Wood oven provides a cosy atmosphere in lounge. Owners very friendly and available in case you need anything. A welcoming basket with wine and biscuits greets you as you open the door. Perfect both for romantic getaways or a one child family or 2 couples. Plenty of outdoor activities within reach. Very good value for money.

Cons: Not for non drivers. A car is essential. Far from any shop or pub or restaurant (but this is quite normal in Yorkshire) Not for disabled person with walking difficulty or difficulty climbing stairs. There is a narrow and steep stone staircase to access cottage (it’s on first floor)

Perfect, despite the typical Yorkshire weather🤣

Pros: A beautiful well equipt cottage in such peaceful surroundings. Excellent communication from the hosts.
