Excellent and enjoyable week trip to the Dales

Pros: The house is well presented and had all amenities you'd want. Excellent location to start day trips or just stay around. Only a stone throw away from the village green (right opposite), the pub/inn/hotel and a local rural junction, but still extremely quiet!

Cons: I didn't have enough time to enjoy the ice cream shop often enough. Car parking can get a bit tight when on sunny days extra tourists arrive to the village and use up all free parking space.

Lovely cottage for a family stay, close to village centre with a pub/hotel serving great food.

Pros: Lovely cottage for a family stay. Well-appointed, clean, tidy and comfortable. Situated in the centre of the village, with a cafe and pub/hotel within a few metres' walk. Views over the village green and river. Wi-fi worked well. Free on-street outside the property (subject to space, which usually wasn't a problem).

Cons: Nothing not to like, though a couple of the bedside lamps weren't working.

Pros: Tolle Lage, viel Platz und Gemütlichkeit. Landschaftlich wunderschön, viele Wanderwege.

Cons: Leider konnten wir die Hintertür nicht aufschließen. Grillen und Mülltrennung war somit nicht möglich. Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vor Ort, ohne eigenes Auto nicht erreichbar. Die Beutel fuer dreckige Wäsche fehlten.
