Lovely spot, great views, lovely property with everything you could need

We had a brilliant two-night stay at Grouse Cottage and honestly didn’t want to leave.

Pros: Upon arrival we were surprised with a nice welcome package that consisted of some snacks and wine! The heating was turned on so it was comfortable when we arrived. We did some cooking in the kitchen (made Dutch stew, pain au chocolat, and used the Bbq) You will also probably see the grouses and other birds, i recommend the birs watching book that is present, it is very fun. Also there were sheep, many of them! We had our dog with us and he enjoyed it very much too! I would come back here for sure.

Cons: The front door gets a bit stuck, but we could use the other door anyway!

Great stay!

Pros: The big selling point of this cottage is the location. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere which is exactly what we wanted. The views of the surrounding hills, crag and reservoir are second to none. The owner sent lots of information about how to get there etc. Really quick communication and very detailed. The property is lovely inside and out. Its been very well thought out and really lovely decor and fixtures and fittings. The beds are really comfy. The bathroom is fab! Talk about a bath/shower with a view! It wasnt the time of year for a bbq but I bet that would be fantastic at the cottage. The garden is fully enclosed which was great for our dog.

Pros: Our stay at this charming rustic cottage was absolutely delightful! It offered the perfect blend of comfort, tranquility, and old-world charm. The stone walls, the crackling fireplace gave the place so much character, while the thoughtful modern touches — like a well-equipped kitchen and the nice bathroom— made it feel wonderfully homely. Our hosts were warm and welcoming,

Pros: This is one classy yet cosy cottage - beautifully furnished, very well equipped, with welcome gifts a plenty even for our just one night’s stay. The host was most efficient in communicating with us and took great care in ensuring we had everything we needed for our late arrival. The rural setting was tranquil and indeed a pleasant retreat, with beautiful walks nearby yet accessible towns packed with good pubs and shops.

Cons: We only had one night’s stay with little time in the cottage….

Perfect pre-wedding night stay

Pros: Incredible setting, such a thoughtful and considerate host, beautiful property. Perfect pre-wedding night with my besties. Looking forward to returning with my husband ❤️

Cozy remote cabin with amazing scenery. What's not to like?

Pros: Amazing location, great property. Everything was super well maintained and felt very remote and comfy.

Cons: Nothing. It was a great stay - I'll definitley book again.

Gorgeous cottage with the most amazing views

Pros: It is a lovely, spacious, authentic cottage. We liked the fact that there was a complimentary welcome pack with a bottle of fizz and crisps etc. That was a lovely touch.
