Southview Barkisland

Relaxing break in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside 👍

Pros: Stunning views and we had gorgeous clear weather, we could see for miles. Horses, sheep, geese etc loved the location. Lovely rooms and beds, beautiful bathroom and kitchen. Really appreciated the underfloor heating in the mornings! Great communication from the host, they even delivered some logs x

Cons: Some storage in the bedrooms would help, nowhere to put smalls and other bits. My husband said the rainfall shower wouldn’t work? The other part of the shower worked fine.

Beautiful

Pros: The cottage was beautiful and very clean had everything you need. Communication with the owners was very easy they also informed me of something that was done by previous person staying which did effect our stay too much, they also left couple welcome gifts which was a lovely touch. The view was stunning out our window

Cons: The bunk beds in the smaller room

Beautiful cottage with stunning views & 10/10 for comfort

Pros: A friend & I (2 ladies) stayed here as we were attending a wedding close by. We were absolutely thrilled when we walked through the door of Southview. The decor is stunning, and each room is kitted out with top quality furnishings & finishing touches. The host left us a pack of eggs, milk, ginger nuts & Nespresso coffee pods to enjoy. They are very generous & welcoming. Let’s talk about the main bedroom that has a simba mattress! Wow, gorgeous…we had to flip a coin as we both wanted the same room 🤣🤣. All bedrooms are fabulous & the view from the front rooms is stunning. The cottage literally has everything you need to permanently live there…. We didn’t want to leave. On the Friday evening we went to The Fleece Inn for dinner. Food was very nice & they have a steak night on the Friday. We had an amazing weekend staying here - would highly recommend.

Cons: Nothing at all, everything was top notch.

Highly recommended property, comfortable, cost and well appointed

Pros: Beautifully renovated cottage with stunning valley views. Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Lovely little extras provided like fresh eggs, milk and coffee pods

Cons: Nothing, it was perfect for our needs

Gorgeous place to stay.

Pros: Gorgeous views and excellent location for our purpose of wanting countryside walks but also going to the Piece Hall on Saturday night. Lovely to have received biscuits, milk and eggs on arrival. Everything was spotless. I loved the cozy feel to the place; fluffy blankets and pillows that smelt amazing! A lovely space for our party of two couples. Tea and coffee pods also available to use which was an extra bonus! Lovely clean bathroom with shower.

Cons: Tv in our bedroom didn't seem to work? Remote just made the whole thing scramble. The shower was lovely, however, was extremely powerful, meaning excess water did go all over the bathroom floor, even being extra careful.

Convenient and peaceful

Pros: Location was quiet , the house was very clean and everything I needed was provided for. The host kindly left milk, eggs, biscuits to use. Staying for business in the area, the location was also perfect, no long drive back to a hotel, but a 5 min journey.

Lovely stay in gorgeous location

Pros: The bed was so comfy! It was very spacious and clean. Location was perfect for our needs with a beautiful view!

Cons: It would have been nice to have a few more instructions as we struggled to work the heating and find the bin! Having said that the host was super responsive and lovely!
