Perfect Cottage

Pros: Everything! The cottage was beautifully located in the centre of the village. Everything we needed was provided (including iron & board); the rooms were clean and well-presented. Our daughter particularly enjoyed staying in the attic bedroom. We have recommended the Coiners Rest to family, who often visit the area, and we plan on staying again!

Cons: Short walk to the parking area (not particularly fun in icy weather!), but it hasn't put us off and it's all part of staying in a small village.

Quaint Cosy Cottage

Pros: A nice cosy cottage in a quaint village with two great pubs!

Cons: No contained outdoor space for our dog, I thought there was so I must have got that wrong😕

It was perfect in everyway, the cottage, the locals, the location.

Pros: It was super cosy and warm, and well maintained, the host left a bottle of rose and mincepies for when we arrived on Christmas Eve. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the village. Bus stop right outside. I had the best nights sleep and loved the little attic room with a tv which came off the main bedroom.

Gorgeous cottage in a beautiful ‘step back in time’ village

Pros: Great location, lovely village, cottage was well presented and had everything you need.

Cons: We found the mattress in the larger bedroom uncomfortable as it was very soft. Appreciate this is personal taste though.

Comfortable cosy cottage in a great location.

Pros: Great location for exploring the local area. Although no parking there is plenty of spaces 5 mins from the property. Lovely and warm when we visited in a particularly cold snap.

Cons: Beds a little soft for our liking, but this is a personal preference for firmer mattresses.

Pros: The house was very cosy and generally clean, and in a great location. The village has 2 nice pubs, an excellent cafe and a community shop and post office. Well located for walking into Hebdon Bridge and to Hardcastle Craggs It was great to have dogs allowed

Cons: The shower head was rusting and mouldy, the shower was still working and ok but not very appealing. A personal preference would have been an outside tap to help wash our dog down.
