A lovely relaxing stay in a quiet, historic Yorkshire village

Pros: We had a great stay at Sunnyside Garden Cottage, the host was very friendly and helpful, the property is lovely, it was very clean and had the best equipped kitchen that we've seen anywhere. The lemon drizzle cake was greatly appreciated as well! Husthwaite is a lovely and quiet village in a beautiful area with plenty to do provided you're driving. Could easily have stayed longer, and would love to return one day.

Cons: We honestly can't think of anything about the cottage, Husthwaite or the wider area that we didn't like (okay, occasionally the weather!)

A lovely village cottage.

Pros: The cottage was well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is very well situated for York and the many attractions the area has to offer but still has all the quiet, countryside benefits of a small village. Our host was friendly, helpful but unobtrusive.

Cons: My only suggestion is that the bed linen is changed. Although in excellent condition, it's very rough, making it uncomfortable to sleep on.
