Hope Cottage

Pros: Hope cottage was cozy and very clean .the bed was super comfortable the rear courtyard at the back of the cottage was lovely and private it was a little sun trap.

Cons: There was nothing we did not like .everything was excellent

Beautiful cottage in a great location.

Pros: Comfortable and clean property with everything you could need for a stay. Owners are super helpful, giving clear instructions for arrival, and on hand if needed. Great location in the lovely village of West Witton with easy access to local visitor attractions. Highly recommended 🙂

Pros: What isn’t to like? Beautiful cottage: extremely clean, comfortable, welcoming and a perfect location in the most stunning surroundings.

Great place to stay.

Pros: Keys were where host said they would be. Cottage was great but for guests with any mobility problems the steps may prove to be a problem. Absolutely fantastic pub a few doors away with a great range of real ales. That also does food.

Cons: Street parking, and steps. Road quite busy. Double bed upstairs 2 singles in a room downstairs. Bathroom upstairs. Narrow stairs.

Enjoyable short break in beautiful Yorkshire Dales

Pros: Pretty little cottage, nicely updated. Well equipped kitchen, but no dishwasher so bring your marigolds! Wood burning stove in living area, two other heating systems. Radiators in kitchen, bathroom and downstairs bedroom supplied by oil fired boiler, easily managed. Electric radiators in living room and upstairs bedroom controlled by an app by the owner, so remained a mystery. Fortunately we were out during the day. No downstairs toilet, not surprising given the age of the cottage.

Cons: Winding steep narrow stairs to the bathroom, and lack of grab handles in the bath tub/shower challenging for older visitors.

Super Cottage. Cosy, warm and well positioned.

Pros: Super cottage set back from the road in an ideal location to explore the Dales. Very well equipped and renovated to a high standard whilst keeping some nice 'original' features. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house was warm, the log burner being a really nice addition to the evening. We really appreciated the tea and biscuits left for us as our disorganised crew forgot to bring any.

Cons: Our stay was too short! Whilst there is no parking allocated to the cottage itself, there is more than enough places to park at the roadside.

Pros: Clean, cosy & spacious, great location, with 2 pubs very close by. Well equipped kitchen. Wood provided for wood burner.

Lovely cottage in a pretty village

Pros: Perfect location near 2 pubs in a pretty Dales village, great views, nice walks straight out of cottage. The cottage is extremely clean and very comfortable

Cons: Wasn't a problem for us, but I imagine the stairs might be tricky if you had mobility issues.
