Low Skibeden Cottage

Pros: The cottage was cozy and quaint, but fully furnished with all appliances we could need. It was a short journey from the town of Skipton, and both my wife and I had one of the best sleeps we've had for a very long time. The shower pressure was amazing. The proprietor met us even in a downpour to make sure we found the parking and the front door and then gave us a quick tour, even leaving eclairs, mince pies and sweets as a welcome gift. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Pros: It was like going to stay with my granny. Even the same sort of decoration and funishings. We felt really at home. Heather couldnt have been more welcoming and her collie Tilly was a delight. Heather left us chocolate eclairs and milk on the fridge and showed us how thjngs worked. The place was lovely and warm and there were even hot water bottles to use in bed. The views are lovely. The location is convienient for Skipton but close to the bypass if you go further afield.

Pros: Wonderful location looking out over the hills of the Yorkshire Dales.

Lovely host, fantastic location

Pros: Superb location for my needs (motorcycling holiday). The cottage was clean but dated. Beds very comfortable. Cooking facilities dated but clean and worked fine. Full Freeview TV. Ample parking, stunning views. Host very friendly, helpful and informative to the local area. Milk, tea, coffee and welcome pack which included chocolate treats were very welcome. Will definitely stay again. Excellent shower superb pressure. Also had a stair lift (not that we needed it) but would facilitate someone that needed this.

Cons: The facilities could be updated likewise the decor.

Pros: Perfect location, very cosy, that has all the necessary facilities needed for an enjoyable break.

Lovely stay in a beautiful place

Pros: A lovely old-world cottage, with modern conveniences. Our room was very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we wanted in it. The stairs are quite steep, but there is a stairlift installed for anyone with mobility problems. Our kind and friendly host met us on arrival to show us round and give us the key - and she had thoughtfully provided us with a pint of milk and some sweet treats to get us started. Skipton is a short drive away for shopping, so is the Embsay steam railway. The photo shows a view taken from a walk down the roadside looking back at the cottage, barn and farmhouse.

Cons: The roads nearby are convenient for transport, but there is a constant low hum of traffic noise. You can’t hear it with the windows closed.

Pros: Heather was exceptionally helpful. warm and welcoming. The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful location with a huge garden and cosy interior.

Pros: Absolutely brilliant location just outside Skipton but in a beautiful location. Truly warm welcome from the host great Comms before the visit too. Great value for money

Cons: Bathroom is a tight squeeze in places.
