Pros: The cottage is ideally located for a quick walk into Skipton and also convenient for trips to the surrounding area. We did two hikes, one to Janet's Foss to Gordale Scar to Malham Tarn and Malham Cove and a second to Bolton Abbey (Valley of Desolation to Simon's Seat), and both were within 30 minutes drive. It's cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed for our 3 nights stay including a fantastic chippy less than a 10 minute walk away.
Cons: It's a personal thing but we would've liked a TV in at least one of the bedrooms.

A very enjoyable short break
Pros: The shower was great! We also loved being able to walk into the town easily. The property was very clean, warm and quiet, and the Wi-Fi was easy to access and good quality. Getting a parking space outside the house was never a problem, either. We very much appreciated being invited for a free drink at the owner's café-bar, although, unfortunately, we didn't get there. The house has a lovely atmosphere, and we'd very happily stay there again!
Cons: The dining table and chairs were a bit wobbly. It would have been nice to have some pegs by the front door to hang our coats on, and on the back of the bathroom door for clothes or dressing gowns. And a toilet brush would be a useful addition to the bathroom, as would a washing up bowl and dish rack be to the kitchen. Not having a handrail on the stairs increases the risk of an accident and makes access difficult for a less mobile person. The door to the cellar ought to be locked/ bolted.
