The Cottage Harmby

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location, would highly recommend

Pros: Lovely cottage, surprisingly spacious rooms, a really nice kitchen and we also loved the hot tub, which was wood-fired, but easier to light and use than we expected (though you need to allow plenty of time and remember to keep checking it!). The cottage is in a corner so felt nice and private, and away from the road, so very peaceful to sit out. Although you need to move the car after unloading, the car park is very close, just at the bottom of the lane. The waterfall nearby was great, and good pavements to walk into Leyburn too (helpful for us as we have a pram at the moment).

Cons: The only tiny criticism was that the door was extremely stiff, and was a bit of a pain when going in and out to check on the hot tub (we didn't want to get smoke/cold inside so were choosing to properly shut it each time rather than put it to.) It seems only one of the two doors actually unlocks (unless that's user error on my part!) but I dont remember anything in the check in information to let us know this. Not a big deal but just a little confusing on arrival

Lovely cottage stay, perfect location for exploring the dales!

Pros: Great location, everything we could have needed in the property. Perfect cosy cottage.

Cons: The rain caused the doors to swell so it made it a little difficult getting in and out of the property.

Pros: Loved the location. Property at the top of a quiet little lane. Very country village feel. Shops 5 mins drive away. Easy access to many attractions in the dales area. The little hot tub on the terrace is a lovely additional feature. Inside the cottage the accommodation is spacious and well appointed for home comforts and the kitchen equipment was missing nothing. Everything to hand that's needed.

Pros: Excellent Location Very Cosy Beds Hot Tub was lovely but you need a few bags of logs tub heat it in the colder months Log Fire was a cosy addition to the front room

Cons: Bathroom needs updating and cleaning but was functional to use for a few nights stay.

Wonderful holiday in great location, will be back

Pros: Cottage was beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped. In a fantastic location with great walks and local pub.

Pros: A lovely cottage located in a great place. A short walk to a beautiful waterfall and only 15 min walk into leyburn. The hot tub was a good addition, although it’s not as easy to manage the heat as we thought.

Lovely cottage in lovely location

Pros: Beautiful cottage, stone walls everywhere along with stone floors. Just so cosy!! Almost forgot its within a minute of a lovely waterfall!!!!

Cons: Wifi struggled with the thickness of the walls and no signal either

Pros: Lovely cottage. Had everything one would need at a home away from home. The hot tub was a hit with my 2 kids and the instructions on how to heat it were very clear and easy! Leyburn was a short drive away with a small grocery store, pubs, restaurants etc. Catterick Garrison is close enough if you wanted bigger shops like Tesco and Aldi. Loads to do in the area for kids and grownups alike. All in all, we had a fantastic trip! Thank you!!
