Fantastic first stay in the beautiful county of Yorkshire.

Pros: The location, cleanliness, equipment levels and fantastic sofas were exceptional.

Cons: The beds and pillows were hard.

Perfect Place To Stay In Thirsk

Pros: The accommodation was clean, airy and peaceful. We had 2 parties in adjacent accomodation and it worked out perfectly for us. The kitchen had tons of space and the host had provided pretty much everything you could have thought of in the cupboards. Tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and dishwasher tablets which are always a god send. Really thoughtful. Would definitely stay again.

Cons: The country road coming into the property is not for the faint hearted but once you know it, it gets easier. Nothing to dislike about the accommodation.

Pros: quiet location, property very clean and convenient for Thirsk.

Cons: the ground floor bedroom was susceptible to a lot of noise from movement in the above rooms, could benefit from sound proofing.

Pros: We loved our stay here. Very clean, had everything we needed and more. We hoping to return sometime next year.

Very well equipped accommodation in a quiet rural area.

Pros: The accommodation was spacious and well equipped, located on the premises of a farmstead in a quite area. The temporary host Paul was most friendly and helpful. Do visit the alpaca's!

Cons: The shower downstairs could benefit from a bit more water pressure, as it was a bit of a disappointment.

Beautiful cottage on a working farm in the middle of Herriot Country!

Pros: We loved the location- near Thirsk, the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales. We loved the accommodations- VERY nice and comfortable. James and Julie are great hosts. We also loved that the cottage was a rehabilitated farm building (amazing job of restoration) and is situated on a working farm. Alf Wight (James Herriot) was actually their vet.
