Luxury Travel Emporium YO1 - Exquisite 400 Year Old

Amazing place

Pros: Quality of furniture and finishes also excellent location

Cons: The front door was really hard to open. Probably because it’s wood and we have had lots of rain. We had to ask a passer by to help us open the front door.

Pros: A tonne of space , the property was warm and clean. Deco was beautiful.

Very enjoyable stay for my 60th birthday.

Pros: Location and size of property. Accommodated our group well and was pleasantly furnished.

Great location and luxurious property

Pros: The location was amazing, it was lovely and warm despite having old drafty windows (because of the listed status fo the property not because the owners don't care!) Plenty of space and the decor created a real feeling of luxury and being spoilt. It was quiet and we weren't bothered with any road noise.

Cons: The key lock box needs a bit of oil I think!

Great for a friends' reunion

Pros: Location is amazing and it's a fascinating, historic building. Warm and comfortable with lashings of hot water. Comfy beds. Generous bath towels, plus dressing gowns and slippers a very nice touch. We appreciated being able to arrange to leave our bags there earlier as 4pm is quite a late check-in time.

Cons: Living room could benefit from better lighting to make it feel cosy and the paintwork in the property needs some attention here and there, but otherwise we were very happy with the place.

Beautiful property in a great location

Pros: Spacious , clean, warm and comfortable in a great location. Thoughtful extras like coffee pods and milk. We were a group of friends who were having a meet up and there was plenty of room for 9 people with comfortable beds and living space. Location was great to explore the city and lots of places nearby to eat. We were allowed to check in a bit early so we could leave our bags and go out exploring which was very helpful

Cons: N/a

Perfect venue and location for a larger group visiting York

Pros: Spacious, clean, great location and very well equipped kitchen. The decor/furnishings are very well thought out and are a great mix of contemporary and a style that suits the old age of the building

Cons: The central heating didn't work initially but was fixed by the second night. Excellent online support people who got it fixed.

Lovely place to meet up with friends, explore York enjoy great food and drink and stay in a fantastic house.

Pros: The property was fabulous! Great location, comfortable, clean and spacious.

Beautiful home

Pros: The house is amazing for 400 years old and upgraded to an exceptional luxurious standard with everything you need. So convenient being on Micklegate as only a short walk to all York's centre shops, attractions and history.

Cons: A lamp on each bedside table would have been nice.

Was amazing

Pros: The house was gorgeous and great location. They were very accommodating and we were able to check in 3 hours early. They even left us milk and a bottle of Prosecco, very thoughtful.

Cons: Nothing we didn’t like.
