A cosy little home-from-home with all the comforts you could ask for

Pros: The Innkeeper's House was an absolutely beautiful place to stay - it felt like a home from home with incredibly comfortable beds, sofas, and spaces to relax. It's an extremely well-appointed home with so many beautiful little touches - if it was my home, I'm sure people would marvel at it every time they came to visit. The staff at The George Hotel next door were incredibly friendly and truly couldn't do enough to help us, whether that was answering questions about the local area or reserving a table for us at their fantastic restaurant, their good and wholesome vibes were completely off the charts. The local area too, is extremely charming, with plenty of shops and places to visit. Also, parking is plentiful and all within a five minute walk. It's the perfect base to explore the North Yorkshire region! If you need a charming little place to stay, you won't find a better one in Easingwold.

Great stay

Pros: Great stay, in the heart of easingwold. Beautiful little village. Great as a base for exploring. We visited a theme park, eden camp and jorvik/york city. The area of the house is beautiful. Local chinese is nice. The house was clean and everything you need to stay there. We ate in the pub it's attached to, looked nice but a bit flavourless. I would stay again!

Cons: The water pressure is a little hit and miss in the bathroom. Other than that nothing.

Beautiful little gem. Close enough to York to still enjoy all York had to offer.

Pros: The hosts were super friendly and the accommodation was amazing

Cons: Breakfast staff seemed a little miserable but maybe they were very busy,

Quaint little stay away

Pros: Lovely little cottage in the market square. Parking often available just outside the property in the row in front of boots. Plenty of space in the property. Modern and very clean. All the cook ware and utencils you could want to make a self catering stay enjoyable.

Cons: Steep stairs-they were OK for us but if you are unsteady on your feet could be dangerous. Low doors and a tall husband led to a few frustrated (and painful) moments but that's just one of those things in older buildings. Beds not the comfiest.

Fantastic location friendly staff

Pros: The location was fantastic. We overlooked the market Square and the town was well connected for bus travel or going places by car. Lots of places to eat or have coffee. Two grocery shops within 2 minutes walk. The flat was very clean and the kitchen well equipped. The decor was stylish and there were two sofas and a dining table so plenty of space to relax and eat. The staff were very friendly and quick to address queries. We had a fantastic meal in the restaurant at The George, the hotel that runs the innkeepers house, and the bar and outdoor area were great for evening drinks.

Cons: We found the beds to be uncomfortable although we know this is personal preference. We stayed 7 nights so it was more of an issue than it would be for a short stay. We weren't given much information about how things worked regarding changing our bins/getting clean towels etc. and it was unclear about whether housekeeping was included although any queries were dealt with quickly. Although not an issue for us, the flat would be unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues as the stairs are very steep and the bathroom small and a bit difficult to move around in.
