Cosy Apartment in a picturesque village.

Pros: Modern cosy, clean apartment in a lovely quiet village. The crisps and nuts was a nice treat and the information book with leaflets of local attractions was really helpful.

Cons: We really enjoyed our stay. The only grumble I have is the mattress was too soft. I have a bad back so it was far too soft for me.

We loved everything about our stay in this idyllic village.

Pros: The location was idyllic in the village of Tholthorpe, and the people in the neighbourhood were just so friendly

Cons: I think the village could do with a small shop selling newspapers, but if the villagers are happy with the current situation, so be it.

A Lovely Stay

Pros: We had a great stay at the New Inn Apartment. It was a 30-minute drive into York but situated in a countryside location. The food at the New Inn was delicious and well worth trying if you do stay here. Owners of the pub (and apartment) were very welcoming. On the days the pub was busier, we noticed this on a Friday, noise could be heard from downstairs, but this stopped no later than 9:30pm. Having a car was essential to getting about but the Park and Ride option was useful for visiting York and certainly much cheaper, although the Priory Street car park (only 10 spaces) was the cheapest in town and had spaces if you got there early enough. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend staying here for anyone who wants peace and quiet but still wants to be near(ish) York and all of its attractions.

Beautiful apartment so homely.

Pros: Everything it was a beautiful place to stay so clean and fresh lovely surprise when opened the door there was a christmas tree lit up in the living room . Great location for York . Pub was great and served lovely meals . Thank you for enjoyable 3 days didn't want to leave .

Pros: The property was well equipped, clean and tidy. It was lovely and warm when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable.

Cons: There was a slightly musty smell in the bathroom. Otherwise everything was very good.

Comfortable, Convenient and Clean

Pros: Clean, comfortable and convenient to York and local attractions by car. Located in a quiet village with an attractive aspect looking towards the green.

Ideal village accommodation. A++

Pros: Ideal village location, food at the pub was lovely. Apartment is beautiful inside, high quality. The snacks and beer and milk was a lovely touch on arrival.

Cons: Photo is a bit misleading, we thought we had the whole house but it’s above the pub / restaurant. The first floor description isn’t on the first advert, but does tell you once you’ve booked when we looked back. Pub was noisy at night as it was hot and all windows were open, only until about 1030pm though. Take your own towels, 6 days with the ones provided was a stretch, would take a spare set next time. Overall excellent stay and we would 100% stay again.

Perfect

Pros: Perfect place to stay for vacations ! Clean, confortable and very quiet. You can go and visit the ducks near the apartment, eat a good pizza at the pub and the place is easily located to visit York or Ripon/Fountains abbey.

Perfection in a Village

Pros: Met with a friendly welcome. Apartment was clean and well presented. Lovely village and base to explore the region. If you are concerned about noise, then don't be. It is not an issue.

Cons: Didn't like having to leave! Would come back again.
