Probably the best location possible for a weekend or even a couple of weeks 'in the Dales'

Pros: The location, in the centre of a Dales town was amazing, with a Norman castle and Saturday market on the doorstep The apartment was spotless and very well equipped. Parking was excellent. A small supermarket, off licence, restaurants, take-aways and an excellent 'chippy' were close by.

Cons: Directions to collect the keys said 'in the garbage bin area'. Please amend this to read 'the bin area adjacent to the building, NOT the bin area near the entrance. The opening lever on the 'lock box' is broken. Please replace the lock box. There is a glitch in the system as I received 12 emails to give me instructions instead of the normal two. The 'Live Chat' at Sykes cottages took 24 hours to reply.

Pros: very good central location with shops and pubs just around the corner.

We had a lovely 4 days in Richmond in a small but comfortable property, very close to all amenities

Pros: Location was very close to all amenities but quiet

Cons: I would have liked an armchair, overall cleanliness was very good but the cutlery and tray were grubby and the strip at the bottom of the shower door was hanging off and dirty. The bottom of the bin was dirty when I removed the bag. Also the communal area had a strong smell, as did the entrance to the accommodation, which luckily we couldn't smell once inside.

A little gem

Pros: First of all what a fantastic setting, a lovely cosy little apartment which I very much enjoyed calling home for a week, comfy bed, and I have to admit to becoming engrossed with the pigeons who all sat on the ledge opposite at night in regimental formation and then all went in the morning!

Cons: I didn't dislike anything, the bottom sheet on the bed could have been a little bigger as it was forever coming loose, a few cobwebs but its an old building, and maybe a comfy chair to go with the sofa, overall really good. Will defo stay again
