Cosy B&B in the Yorkshire Dales

Pros: My wife was well catered for with regards to gluten free (good options on the breakfast and even had GF biscuits available in our room). Room was a decent size with ensuite, plenty of towels and storage. We'd forgotten to bring toothpaste and Ann was happy to provide a tube. The hosts Ann & Barry are really friendly and welcoming. There are pubs and restaurants within a short walk.

Cons: Mattress was a bit on the soft side and the shower pressure seemed low, unless you have it on nearly completely cold.

Brilliantly convenient

Pros: Clean, very friendly and excellent breakfast. The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. Shower and bath were great. One of the owners even gave me a lift to the venue we were down at for a wedding

Cons: Was there for a wedding stay, no complaints as it was perfect.

A Great Stay at Askrigg at Thornsgill House.

Pros: My one night stay at Thornsgill House at Askrigg was a real highlight of my walk across Yorkshire and one that was clearly not enough. So next year I'll be returning again to enjoy one of the best bed and breakfasts I gave ever stayed at. Everything was excellent. The welcome, the bedroom, and the breakfast. Thanks Anne & Barry for getting me back to fitness to tackle Day 2 of 8 through the Dales.

Cons: There were no problems.

Pros: Clean, quiet and parking available. Very little traffic from outside and pubs are all within walking distance. Breakfast was fresh and plenty of choice available. Bed is comfortable, room was spacious and well heated.

Cons: Nothing comes to mind. Definitely one of the best places I’ve stayed at.

A wonderful stay - Thank you!

Pros: The breakfast was delicious - fresh strawberries and blueberries followed be a cooked breakfast! Fresh coffee and toast. The people were charming and we will definitely return. Location was great - easy to get out onto The Dales but with pubs/restaurants within walking distance.

Cons: Nothing!

Highly recommended for great holiday

Pros: The breakfast couldn’t have been better. Excellent selection, cooked to perfection. Location in a lovely village, walking distance to 3 pubs for dinner. Many interesting spots to visit in all directions. We’ve been to Askrigg on three different occasions and still enjoy exploring from there.

Cons: Nothing I can think of.

Perfect stay in lovely Dales village

Pros: Owners could not have been nicer. Very welcoming from the start. Very good, well-cooked breakfasts. Lovely village location, exceptionally quiet. Choice of three village pubs for evening meals - all good, especially the closest. Beautiful walks from the door.

Cons: Nothing not to like

Pros: Everything, very clean and comfortable with extremely pleasant and engaging hosts.

Cons: Only the price, very expensive but isn’t everything these days !

Beautiful Thornsgill House

Pros: What a fantastic B&B with such amazing hosts in Barry and Ann! When we arrived I hadn't been well, they were so kind and went above and beyond to help me recover. Our room was excellent 👌 The most comfortable King Size bed with a superb ensuite and breakfast next morning was delicious. I am Gluten free and there was plenty of choice. Situated in the beautiful village of Askrigg, Thornsgill House is definitely worth a visit.
