Little welham

Very quiet cottage, very clean and well equipped. Would recommend

Pros: Kind welcome gifts left for us. Cottage situated in the middle of a corn field, so very quiet ! Parking by the door was great.

Cons: Outdoor furniture needed replacing. The BBQ was rusty and unuseable. There were 5 frying pans but all were badly scratched because only metal tools had been provided.

Pros: Little welham is a little gem. It is such a well equipped cottage and a real home from home. It was so peaceful but not far from amenities. Great base for exploring North Yorkshire.

Comfortable, peaceful and relaxing

Pros: Excellent location. Very clean and beautifully appointed. Everything you could possibly need. Very comfy bed.

A cosy winter getaway in a picturesque location!

Pros: It was clean, comfortable and well located for our work. We were working on the Polar Express at Leeming Bar station and needed somewhere nearby. Little Welham was comfortable and on a lovely quiet road which meant we were able to get plenty of good quality sleep. The shower was fantastic and lovely temperature, which was very much appreciated after some very long days dancing on a train! Nothing was too much trouble for Jonathan, and he checked in on us to make sure we were ok with bins and to swap over bedding periodically. It’s a beautiful property, and we were even lucky enough to experience it in the snow too! At night there was very little light pollution, so we enjoyed being able to see so many stars in the sky! We enjoyed some lovely days out both in the more local area and out to York a few times. It’s a beautiful part of the country and I’d highly recommend Little Welham as a base for all types of trips.

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Lovely cottage in a lovely spot, great for cycling and a walk away from pubs and shops in bedale.

Hidden gem in a lovely village setting, great for work a couples break !

Pros: It had everything I needed & was a pleasant walk to the town centre, stunning views across the countryside & open fields….will certainly return !!
