Appleyard Cottage - Yorkshire Dales

Pros: Very homely, my daughter liked the hot chocolate station, contact with owners answered very promptly

Cons: Not an issue for us but low stairs might be an issue for taller fmailies

Homely cottage in a great location

Pros: Lovely little homely cottage within close driving distance of a great range of hot spots within the Dales. Very well equipped, with a number of personal touches, going above and beyond to offer their customers an enjoyable stay. Very dog friendly.

Home from home

Pros: Liked the location which was close to walks and popular tourist attractions. Very cosy house, settee and bed was very comfortable and clean. Had all necessary accessories and more! Dog friendly with blankets for settee, dog treats, lead if needed. Felt like home from home.

Cute little cottage.

Pros: Well equipped cottage, lovely decor and very clean. Great attention to detail.

Cons: No mention of the bathroom downstairs. Steep stairs to negotiate when half asleep. Also there is no longer a chippy and pub in the village.

Recommend Stay

Pros: Very good value for the length of stay, the cottage had a very cute cosy vibe. Very clean and prepared for us, had a cute little welcome package and lots of info about what to do in different areas.

Cons: The takeaway next door to the cottage and the local pub had unfortunately closed down so anywhere to eat or get a takeaway we had to go into the town. But we was okay with that.

This was my third stay at Appleyard cottage, it’s cosy and welcoming.

Pros: The location is ideal for exploring the area by car, train or bus.

Perfect little cosy cottage for anyone who wants to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Some lovely little touches.

Pros: Superbly fitted out cosy cottage, ideal stopping point for a girls weekend away! Additional parking nearby was super helpful, plus friendly and helpful neighbours made our stay peaceful and enjoyable. The hot chocolate station is the best idea ever!

Cons: Stairs were a little low on headroom for taller guests but workable.

Cons: Could do with updating info in welcome pack to reflect pub closures, opening times in the local shops.

Pros: A lovely and picturesque cottage. Matching garden. Noticed everything very clean and nice fragrance as we entered. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedding. Thank you for the large shortbread and other treats.Would highly recommend.
