Perfect stay in a tranquil location

Pros: Stunning location, the property had everything you needed even milk in the fridge

Although at the heart of the farm, we weren't disturbed at all. A very comfortable stay.

Pros: The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed. The kitchen / living room was a very good size as was the bedroom. Bathroom was a good hotel standard.

Cons: There wasn't anything we did not like. Would suggest a couple more tea mugs ideally as with two of us the dishwasher wasn't going on often.

Definitely recommend but be aware of the 24/7 barking.

Pros: Perfect location to explore the dales. Lovely farm setting and beautiful cottage.

Cons: Dogs barked every night, all night. Appreciate it’s a farm setting as we live next door to a farm so we are used to animal noise but this sounded like a professional kennels and we were woken every night 3/4 times, even with all the windows closed ( which was a shame). It was non stop and there is no mention of this possible disruption prior to our booking. It’s a shame because it’s one of the nicest accommodations we have stayed in.

One of the best cottages we've stayed in. A great holiday.

Pros: Self catering so no breakfast. Location ideal for the south of the Yorkshire Dales with National Trust and other places to visit as well as lovely walks

Cons: Nothing to dislike

Perfect retreat before heading back to sea

Pros: Fabulous location next to a working farm. Well presented and would happily stay again, it was a perfect retreat of calm and quiet within 20mins of horton in ribblesdale (where the Yorkshire 3 peaks start).

Great place to do a working from home holiday from

Pros: Location and size for one person and a small dog was great and would be suitable for a couple and a dog too.

Cons: Stair gate was at the top of the stairs which was not good for my wee dachshund that must not climb stairs and does not always know that!

The perfect place for some quiet days.

Pros: The perfect place for some quiet days, or visiting sights in the surrounding area. Located outside the village, surrounded by hills with sheep and cows. Completely outfitted kitchen, nice couch, comfy bed, good bathroom, nice outdoor seating. The place is a working farm, but that is not a problem. I even got to watch them working with the sheep. Parking space is plenty for the three cottages, coop supermarket is 1 village away.

Cons: Nothing!

Absolutely lovely and we’d come again as there’s a lot more to see and do

Pros: Beautiful location. Well placed for the railway and transport to Leeds, York and local towns. Very clean and comfortable with everything you need for cooking at home. Two or three lovely pubs nearby and fabulous walks of course. Met the owner only once but they were there if required not intruding.

Cons: Not really anything except if we were being really picky- it would be good to have the TV on a bracket to alter the position. It would make watching it a lot more comfortable rather than being side on to it from the sofa. Just picky really!

Warm, cozy and fun

Pros: An amazing find barely out of Hellifield Village. Loved being on the farm the smells, the animals and watching others work. 'Sheep moving' on an especially wet afternoon was great to watch from the comfort of the lounge & good training for the dog too! Mentioning dogs, the funniest part of the visit was setting the farm dogs off howling late one evening - sorry to anyone that this might have disturbed, thankfully they soon settled down again.

Cons: Climbing out of a warm car on arrival day we found the accommodation to be very cold - it soon warmed up but not too much of a welcome Nothing to complain about really - sensible, especially in current cost of living crisis
