Swallow Cottage review

Pros: Great communication with the host and her mum. The cottage was warm, very clean, beautifully furnished and with ABSOLUTELY everything you could think of! Just a 5 minute drive into Ripon. Set on a peaceful horse farm. Wonderful basket of goodies and fresh flowers too!

Fantastic little find. Stay surpassed our expectations. We were able to instantly relax and chill

Pros: Great location , just 3 miles from Ripon. Cottage excellently decorated . Everything very accessible for my husband who has reduced mobility. We will definitely be returning . Cottage has a peaceful rural location but is very close to Ripon full of things to do

Beautiful cottage

Pros: Beautiful cottage, all the facilities we needed, lovely owner, lots of treats left, dog field just behind was very handy.

Cons: The only thing I could say is the mattress wasn't very comfortable, could do with a mattress topper, only small gripe but would make all the difference.

Peaceful stay in a well-equipped and well presented property

Pros: Very well presented property, fully equipped with everything you might need and some lovely little touches to make it feel luxurious. Peaceful and quiet location but only a stones throw from Ripon. Gail was there to meet us and on-hand if needed. Would definitely recommend and re-book in the future!

Cons: Nothing to dislike!

A cosy cottage with a warm welcome for dogs and humans alike

Pros: A beautiful cottage, furnished with taste and care. Gail was the perfect host, friendly and helpful and generous with advice on places to go, help mastering the coffee machine (my fault, not the machine’s!), and a selection of drinks and snacks to make our stay even sweeter. It’s a lovely part of the world, and we enjoyed walks along the river and through nearby villages with our dog. Ripon is lovely, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal out as well as visiting the town.

Cons: The bed was softer and shorter than we would have chosen, but I’m sure others will prefer a softer mattress.
