Poppy Cottage

Exceptionally comfortable, cosy place to stay in brilliant location for the three peaks.

Pros: Brilliant place to stay for a stormy winter weekend. We got out for walks and came back to lovely warm and cosy cottage with lots of hot water. We were celebrating a birthday and loved being able to sit round the big table for meals and cake and flop into the comfy chairs around he hearth. The kitchen worked well for us self catering and was well equipped. The radiator in the kitchen and tiled floor meant we could hang up wet clothes and place muddy boots so they dried out and we weren’t worried about messing up carpets etc.

Cons: Can’t think of anything.

Perfect, cosy cottage

Pros: Really spacious, cosy cottage for 6 people. 2 bathrooms so useful. Immaculately clean and had everything we could have needed, especially real fire. Perfect location for local pub, where we had a great meal. Ideally located for meeting our guide to do the 3 Peaks Challenge. Both less than 5 minute walk away.

Cons: Nothing at all

Pros: The space. Enough room to spend time together as a group and enough beds for everyone. No need to sleep.on the sofa

Lovely, cottage with great facilities in an excellent location.

Pros: Lovely cottage in a wonderful central location right on the 3 peaks route. Very clean and well presented, super friendly hosts who were incrdibly kind and helpful.

Overall great cottage and excellent stay

Pros: Great location, perfect as a base for the Yorkshire 3 peaks, great fire ready to go, everything you need for a great weekend!

Poppy Cottage for the Y3P

Pros: Poppy Cottage is a really nice place to stay! All the rooms were very spacious clean & very tidy! We had the fire going on the first night while catching up with friends & we all said it was very homely! An absolute gem & perfect base to start/finish the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge! We'll definitely be looking to book there next time we're going!

Cons: The only comment that I would say is that we didn't have tea/coffee there.

Very Welcomed and looked after, easy to access, clean, tidy and plenty of facilities for cooking

Pros: easy to find, perfect location to train station, off the main street, good facilities, comfy beds. Showers with good water flow

Incredible stay at Poppy's Cottage - the perfect bolt hole for Yorkshire 3 Peaks walkers

Pros: Poppy's Cottage was perfectly situated a couple of minutes from the station, in the heart of the village. My friends and I took on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and the cottage was incredibly clean, comfortable, convenient and incredible value for money. I'd go back in a heart beat, and recommend it to anyone taking on a 25 mile walk!

Cons: The only thing missing was perhaps one or two more toilet rolls!

Comfortable base in a beautiful area

Pros: Good space, all clean, cosy and comfortable. Views of the peak from one bedroom. Fire laid and generous fuel provided. Lots of useful local leaflets and books. Beautiful area and a good base that is out in the countryside but easily accessible by car or train and with parking for 2 cars if needed. Loads of great outdoor activities nearby and beautiful landscape and villages. Friendly owners next door.

Cons: No dishwasher. Wifi didn't really work and little mobile reception. No views from main room downstairs (no issue for our October walking trip but an outside table area would be a great addition for summer). Price reflects these things though so good value overall.

Lovely

Pros: Lovely little comfortable cottage set in stunning beautiful countryside.

Cons: Everything was good
