Refreshing stay!

Pros: Glad to have come across this stunning stay! It was absolutely refreshing and serene. It is in the midst of the city but gives a countryside feel with a large outdoor window that opens to green woods. If you are a walker, all major attractions are within 3 miles. We had a lovely stay ❤️

Pros: The location was excellent and a very good bus service into the centre of York

Cons: The mirror in the bedroom wasn’t cleaned and I couldn’t find the instructions for the washing machine the QR code in the manual was for a different kitchen utensil.

Great location, quite, off road parking and excellent layout.

Pros: The location was good, the accommodation was perfect, As per the photos in the Ad, quite area and off road parking. The apartment is big and the outside area is awesome.

Cons: Nothing to report, perfect accommodation.

Pros: Location very good! Nice to see the foxes sunbathing in the garden.

Cons: Although bed was very comfortable, furniture was very dated & not very comfortable!

Pros: Excellent location, good facilities. Clean and tidy . We even had a family of foxes visit us everyday from the wooded area beyond the decking.

Cons: We found the sofa very uncomfortable . And the round door handles very hard to turn, especially the bedroom door.

A wonderful getaway location

Pros: Excellent location. Lovely to look out over a wild garden and see nature on the doorstep (Wood pigeon, blackbirds, Great tits, Blue tits, Robins, squirrels and foxes!) Still conveniently close to the city. Lots of local places to eat/drink and shop for every day supplies. The bed was comfortable and the bath with shower was really useful. Handle for lifting the lid on WC a nice extra. Bus stop near the property for getting into York centre (if not using your car).

Cons: Not serious enough to inform Stays York on discovery but some areas of the property needed greater attention to detail in cleaning. E.g. High level dusting. The top of the cooker hood was dusty/ greasy from previous rental. A few of the kitchen utensils need replacing - Tip of kitchen knife was broken (safety issue) Red spatula looks shabby, has been burnt/ melted by previous renter and now has curled and grubby end. Maybe an all in one (filled) salt and pepper grinder could be added to the kitchen pack? As well as a couple of refuse bags to assist with leaving the accommodation rubbish free as requested in the T&Cs. Add a couple of extra towels for rental use in the bedroom closet. The lounge area is large enough to accommodate a high backed arm chair and footrest. The Chesterfield as the main seating area is not really very comfortable for taller guests.

Excellent- would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Great location.

Idyllic weekend haven

Pros: This is an idyllic place to stay...beautifully presented, private, well equipped....wanted to move in!!! Toasty warm, comfortable, loads of natural light, space outside, parking...could go on!!!

Cons: Nothing!!! It was about a 25 minute walk into York town centre, but that didn't bother us! We got to the property later on Friday evening than expected, so didn't go into the town centre then, but plenty of pubs/bars/eateries within a short stroll.

Pros: How tranquil it was, despite being near the main road! Very convenient for the City centre. Bus stop just across the road.

Overall a good stay, owners should try their places out to iron out the small quality of life issues.

Pros: Furnishing was nice, comfortable bed and lovely bath. TV and sofa was nice, internet access was good and the overall cleanliness of the place was great. The provided essentials were appreciated, although a dishwasher tablet and no dishwasher was amusing. Plenty of storage.

Cons: Some of the provided equipment wasn’t great, frying pan wasn’t non stick and too deep, salt shaker left empty, spatula looked melted and the parking left anything I walked in covered in a chalky residue, not to mention the parking spot is below trees and bird droppings were a nightmare the whole stay and got really frustrating.
