Wonderful stay in a beautiful location

Pros: We loved absolutely everything about our stay at Signal Cottage. The estate it was on, the grounds and the location were all wonderful. The accommodation was 1st class. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The log burner was a bonus on a cold night and the garden was wonderful for our dog, backing on to open fields with roaming horses. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be back in the summer when the outdoor pool is open and we can explore the grounds even more.

Cons: Nothing at all!

Pros: Everything! The cottage was perfect, had everything to accommodate us including our dog. There was even tea and coffee so we could make a cuppa. Couldn't fault it was perfect in every way. Host was very helpful,we would definitely come back again.

Pros: Everything we could possibly have needed was available in the house. I wasn't expecting it, but there were even dog bowls waiting, and a towel for the dog. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and the cottage was clean, there was even a little welcome basket including dog treats which was a lovely touch. A very peaceful location. I would highly recommend.

Lovely peaceful property for a relaxing stay

Pros: Peaceful and well maintained estate with a lovely swimming pool and tennis court, which our 7 year old loved (although Andy Murray won’t lose any sleep over his tennis skills!) Hosts were available if needed and very friendly. Easy access to York, Knaresborough and Harrogate via the train from Poppleton.
