A warm reception

Pros: Fantastic location for town We enjoyed the music on Sunday evening and a little time in the bar area Rooms are a reasonable size and the bed comfortable

Generally a very enjoyable experience, I would use this hotel again and recommend it to my friends

Pros: Good sized room with a nice en-suite, good breakfast and a wide range of evening meals and real ale and free parking

Cons: The lack of a night porter or emergency number to call in the event that somebody were to mistakenly lock the rear door, the bar closing at 10.30 pm was also annoying given how busy they had been with a group using the function room

A short but enjoyable stay in beautiful Northallerton!

Pros: The historical aspects. The live music entertainment.

Cons: Uneven floor in the bathroom! I felt constantly tipsy! 🤣🤣🤣

Great but not what we booked.

Pros: The property was clean and tidy, love the well in the floor downstairs.

Cons: When we arrived the hotel didn’t have the room we had booked. We asked for a twin room, lower ground floor and a walk in shower. This was to accommodate an 80 year old female. I was assured this was available at time of booking. The fee was taken from my account the week before we arrived. We ended up in a double room on the top floor with a shower over the bath. We had no compensation for this. To top it off, the fire alarm went off the next morning whilst still in our nightwear! Apart from that, the staff that were there were very kind and helpful.
