The Angel Inn

An excellent place

Pros: Stayed here for one night, and met friends for a meal. Everything was excellent, from the welcome, the room, the food and the ambience. A most excellent stay, thank you to everyone at the Angel, we shall certainly return !

A great place for an overnight stay and great staff and food

Pros: The Angel is always a welcoming place to stay, I have not been disappointed in the times I have stayed there. A very convenient place for both work and exploring the area around Thirsk

Pros: Plenty of parking, tea & coffee included, nice restaurant attached, friendly staff

Cons: A little noisy with doors & boiler overnight

Pros: Great location - evening meals and breakfast were fabulous Room was OK (no7) but quite a bit of noise from kitchen as it overlooked the kitchen roof Would definitely stay again but would request a different room

Warm comfortable stay with good food and a friendly staff.

Pros: Nice staff and bar/ dinning area nice as well as room. Dinner was very good as was the breakfast included in the price.

Proper Yorkshire hospitality

Pros: We stayed at the Angel Inn as a stopover enroute to Whitby - we arrived late on Saturday evening after a long drive and despite being very busy we had a wonderful welcome - quick check-in and taken to the bar to order our food. Our dinner was beautiful - large portions and very tasty. Unfortunately we had a very early departure the next morning so missed breakfast. It is very conveniently located off A1M - excellent value for money and great service from excellent staff. Proper Yorkshire hospitality and we will make sure to stay there next time we are in Yorkshire

Delightful Inn & Fabulous Food

Pros: Exceptionally well presented and maintained property throughout. Great facilities and parking a bonus. All staff engaged with were warm, friendly and accommodating. The options in the restaurant for gluten free diners is exceptional as was the service from both bar and restaurant staff. We can’t wait to return…which will be as soon as possible! Thank you all 🙂

Beautiful country inn with great breakfast and comfy bed

Pros: The location was lovely. The breakfast was excellent! Really yummy and good quality. Staff were friendly. Bed was comfy! In room tea/coffee selection was very good. I would happily stay again!!

Cons: My single room did feel a little bit small, I thought it should have been slightly less than the £95 I paid. There was some minor repairs that needed doing in the room, flakey paintwork in the corner.

A lovely stay with welcoming hosts with a gorgeous comfortable bar/restaurant area.

Pros: It was very comfortable in a beautiful village. It had a really warm and homely feel with log fires burning and gorgeous hand made flower baskets and seasonal touches on the windowsills. The decor was too a high standard and the staff were amazing, welcoming and friendly throughout.

Cons: Although the room overall was clean, with clean sheets, etc. a little attention is required in the toilet, as if you bend down, it is black under the rim - not nice, but easily remedied.
