Great location for a city break in York

City break in York

Pros: A very comfortable, clean flat in a quiet location. It was a short walk to the centre of York. There was milk and a treat left there to greet us. The host was helpful with an initial heating problem and checked in on us to see if all was now alright several times, also sending us recommendations of where to eat etc

Cons: It was very cold when we arrived and took a while to heat up. But the host did help with this very quickly.

Fantastic base in York

Pros: Ideal location only minutes from the minster. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in away from home and everything we needed was there. The milk, bottle of wine and honeycomb chocolate was a lovely touch.

Cons: The only problem we had was the mirror light in the bathroom went on and off most of the night but we just shut the door so it wasn't a major problem.

Above our expectations and would highly recommend.

Pros: We supplied our own breakfast. The host supplied sufficient milk, tea and coffee which was very welcoming. The location was 1st class as it was so easy to access all the local amenities.

Cons: Everything was excellent. The premises were clean and comfortable. We stay in a number of places every year an this is at the top of our list.

Excellent ground floor apartment

Pros: The host Rachel was very helpful, she promptly replied to all my queries. She also left us some milk and a bottle of wine. Excellent location, very quiet and only a short walk to the city centre.

Cons: Lack of cupboard/drawers to unpack your clothes

A throughly enjoyable stay, would definitely recommend and will be booking again.

Pros: Beautifully decorated with everything we could possibly have needed, felt very homely and comfortable. We had a lovely welcome gift too! It was very conveniently located on Gillygate so a short walk to the centre of York and the hop on hop off buses stopped very nearby. We were sad to be leaving and will definitely be back!!

Cons: Only thing was the TV, we couldn’t get into any of the streaming services as they all seemed private accounts, but this was such a little thing as we were mainly out and about viewing the sights of York.

Pros: Great location, very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Beds are very comfortable and the apartment was cost and toasty. Great communication with the owner and lovely welcome wine and chocs. Thank you. Fabulous sort furnishings, the rugs and those are gorgeous!!

Cons: Nothing. Just noticed the bathroom door was a bit dirty on the last morning - looked like it could be hair dye or something. And the bathroom light switch fitting kept falling off. Thanks for telling me is about the small bedroom light before we arrived.

Pros: We had a great stay, the hosts were amazing and very friendly, even brought us extra towels and a bottle of wine. The children loved the bedroom with the curtains around the bed.. they pretended it was their very own private cinema and enjoyed watching tv in there! Great location to walk into town. Lovely comfortable beds. Will definitely stay again.

Cons: The only very minor thing i would suggest is that there could be a small basic microwave to complement the otherwise well equipped kitchen.

Fabulous by name and by nature.

Pros: Loved the location, the comfort of the bed, the quirky decoration and fittings and the attention to detail. Also great if you’re travelling with a dog.

Gorgeous Apartment! Love! Love!Love!

Pros: Fantastic apartment! Beautiful design and very comfortable beds. Loved the little extras (thank you Rachel!) and kitchen was well equipped. Towels and robes provided. Nice shower and toiletries. Excellent location into York. We paid £32 for 2 days parking that was about a 5 minute walk from the property. Would 100% stay again.

Cons: Shame no free parking or use of permit but it is what it is. This was clearly stated also before we came so fairs, fair. Clothes storage would also be good.
