A very enjoyable weekend away!

Pros: The guest house is a very short walk away from the nearest pubs. We stayed out of season so they did not serve breakfast but the host arranged for us to have breakfast in the bull inn which was lovely. The guest house is located in the centre of Reeth, so very convenient. The room was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay!

Comfortable en suite room near village green and centre.

Pros: The GH was a bit hard to find but was just off the village green and handy for walking to the 3 pubs etc. There was free onsite parking if slightly difficult to turn the car round for leaving. We stayed in room 1A on the ground floor, a smallish but attractive and thoughtfully planned en suite room with large comfortable double bed and tea and coffee facilities. We had not realised that there would not be any view out - the reviews etc suggested very much the opposite, and the room would have felt claustrophobic for a stay of more than 2 nights as both the bathroom and bedroom windows were opaque, doubtless for privacy, but it felt odd not being able to see out. We did not have breakfast there - but totally recommend the Dales Bike Centre at Fremington, half a mile SE of Reeth on the B6270, the road through the 2 villages. It is open to bikers and non bikers 7 dpw 9am - 5pm. The hosts had a 5% discount card for everything at The Buck, the nearest and cheapest village pub.

Cons: We would have liked to be able to see out of a window.

A great find in a lovely village

Pros: This is a lovely guest house with the owner's giving superb care. Near to a reasonably priced pub. The breakfast was wonderful. continental and plenty of it.

Cons: We did have a room adjacent to a heating ventilation but this was turned off early at our request without any problem.

Wonderful setting and a lovely stay

Pros: Central location and good for visiting the surrounding area. Beautiful setting with wonderful views across the dales. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Hannah & Terry were the perfect hosts. They also provided us with a discount card for the pub across the way, which served great food.

Lovely

Pros: Beautiful location, right in the centre of the village. Plenty of free parking available. Amazing views of the hills. The room was massive with an extra large double bed. Large ensuite shower. We didn’t realise the room came with a kitchenette which included a fridge, microwave & toaster, kettle with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Utensils, washing up facilities so it’s handy if staying for a few days and would like to cook yourself. There are three pubs within 100 yards of each other so plenty of choice. The Buck was our go-to place, very good food, reasonably priced and has a pool table, darts, large beer garden and seating outside at the front. The village also has a cafe, post office, small convenience store and gift shop. The village is quiet but this is what we wanted so was perfect for our 2 night stay in Reeth.
