Pros: Excellent food and drink. Nice room, comfy bed and excellent shower.

Cons: Minor point but the open fire in the bar was not lit in February, would have been so much more cosy.

A country inn as it should be.

Pros: Wonderful stay in a friendly, hospitable country pub. Spacious, well-appointed rooms, cosy bar and friendly staff. Good food, good beer and just what a country pub stay should be.

Cons: Little to improve - just what a stay in a country pub should be like. Traffic noise in the morning (we had our window open), but mostly tractors and it got us up at a reasonable time for breakfast!

A room with a view

Pros: Spacious, comfy room; great views of the river; friendly, helpful staff; good food and varied menu.

Cons: Hit and miss central heating, some traffic noise due to single glazed windows and a long wait for the freshly cooked breakfast.

Pros: There was a minor problem with the room allocated to us ,but the Manager quickly upgraded us to a lovely room. The evening meal was very good. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Cons: It was a good English breakfast apart from black pudding which was overcooked and hard.
