Perfect stay

Pros: The property has been lovingly altered by the owner to create a really high quality let. Every detail has been well thought out and I found it perfect for my three night stay. Each room is heated individually. Clive came promptly to raise the temperature on one of the room heaters for me, as I’m a soft southerner and feel the cold. The barn is well appointed and I enjoyed the log burner lit for my arrival. I sadly failed to re-light it! I found the parking places difficult to define. Perhaps an indication that one should park “Nose towards the garden wall” might help future occupants. There is no problem when neighbours’ vehicles are already parked alongside, but when I arrived there were none so I felt that I had plenty of space in which to park. I enjoyed my stay which was very convenient for a family wedding at the Dev and would happily rebook.

Pros: We stayed two nights at Howgill House Barn. Such a lovely cottage! Very well equipped and nicely furnished. We went for a beautiful walk in the Yorkshire Dales and the next day visited Salts Mills. The cottage is excellently located for both. We hope to come back one day, very much worth it!!

Immaculately presented cottage in a peaceful location

Pros: Really well presented cottage, looks brand new; immaculate. Comfy bed and well equipped kitchen. A couple of footpaths on the doorstep which was a real bonus with dogs.

Cons: There was nothing that we didn't like but something to make it easier to wash muddy dogs would have been a bonus (bucket/hose). We borrowed the watering can from the garden :)

Pros: We loved our stay at the property. It’s a beautiful place and the view over the garden was so lovely. The owners checked in with us in the beginning to see if everything was ok. We would highly recommend this place and hope that we can come back one day soon.

Great stay in quiet Yorkshire village .

Pros: Great location in a quiet village but still close to shops and facilities in Skipton. Nicely equipped and decorated property with comfortable beds . Would definitely stay there again .

Cons: Electric heaters don’t have a timer so have to be turned on and off all the time .
