Lovely cottage in a great location

Pros: Lovely cottage, and loved the brick features etc, also cosy and warm. Great location for walking to Heptonstall and down to the river off road, so great for the dog. Would have walked to Hebden Bridge if the weather was better, but drove instead.

Cons: Nothing really, just little things like the sofa was a little tired and the dog was able to jump the small wired fence at the top.

Warm and relaxing stay in a very rural setting, yet still close to great pubs and shops

Pros: The cottage had pretty much everything we needed for a lovely stay. Everything was very easy - checking in, comms with the manager etc. It had ample cooking equipment and we loved the spa bath! The area is really beautiful and not far from Hebden Bridge with its wonderful shops and pubs, although you'd definitely need a car to get places.

Cons: The boiler/heating was a little tricky to understand; the parking wasn't ideal - the host said there was space but there didn't seem to be an obvious one. we managed to park the van outside the house but it got in the way of the bin collection (apologies!).

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful area with lots to do within short travel time

Pros: Beautiful little quirky cottage, everything provided that you could possibly need

Cons: Would have preferred to be in Hebden Bridge itself but my fault entirely for not checking exact location .. was a 20 minute bus ride but not walkable like I thought

Pros: Stunningly visual area. Situated in a quiet rural spot which had great scope for outdoor exploration. It wasn't far from the interesting town of Hebden Bridge, easily accessible by car, local bus or on foot. Country pub next door but one an added draw. Nice private rear garden, very leafy. Cottage itself very homely. Felt quite at home there.

Cons: Advertised as having a washing machine... which it did, but it had a huge chunk of glass/perspex missing from the door, so a hazard, therefore could not use it. Needs replacing. Shower needed a proper de-moulding session around the tray.

Cosy, well equipped, and very welcoming

Pros: Stayed for a local wedding. The cottage was clean and welcoming, with a cosy lounge, a well equipped kitchen, hot shower, and a giant bathtub. The local area is great, feels very remote and peaceful in the hills, but next door to a friendly pub with a good selection of drinks. Despite being remote, it's very easy to get taxis to and from the local towns of Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. There is no signal up there, but the cottage's fast WiFi is really helpful for sorting taxis. It might look small but we stayed as a group of 4 adults and had plenty of space.

A good value, well situated cottage.

Pros: The cottage has so much potential. It’s a good size and in a great position with a regular bus service at the door and lovely views from the top of the garden.

Pros: Lovely cosy little cottage in the middle of the hills with a beautiful scenic walk into Heptonstall and Hebden! We had the best weekend hiking and writing poetry! Would highly recommend to any friends who want a short weekend away :)

Spacious and atmospheric location with beautiful garden.

Pros: Beautiful garden, spacious rooms and living space, well stocked kitchen. The house has some beautiful features and is furnished to a very cosy effect. The wood burner was an incredible plus! Would love to be back at the property.

Cons: Transport is tricky unless you have a car, but local taxis were easy to find. Uber often unavailable. The garden was a little slanted, which we didn't expect, but we were fine just being a little careful.
