a real gem - very thoughtfully put together and peaceful

Pros: it was so clean and well put together with an incredible view

Cons: the shower was a bit lacking

Lovely cottage that we will definitely add to our list of places to use again when visiting Hebden.

Pros: Great base to walk or explore. Perfectly located to be close enough to facilities, but remote enough to feel you were away from it all. A very comfortable cottage which was very much bigger once inside than from the kerbside - a bit like the Tardis!

Cons: Nothing really - we got used to the quirkiness of the layout and soon felt at home.

Stunning views of moorland

Pros: The view was staggering and we loved the quirkiness of the cottage. Brilliant for walking and so convenient for getting the bus back from Hebden Bridge after a long day. Nice log burner and tasteful decor.

Cons: The stairs! Hard to set used to! Only having one loo/shower, although the shower was powerful and plenty of hot water Not very welcoming - only three dusty tea bags, no milk and one loo roll between four people for four days!!! Dust balls on the living room floor and cobwebs behind the curtains ...

Beautiful location, characterful and well finished property.

Pros: Location is beautiful. A great place to stay to have views and calm and quiet, while not being far from things to do in the area. The cottage has everything you need and is comfortably decked out. There’s plenty of information on booking on how to get there, access the keys, and on things to do in the area. Everything was clean and easy. The property has great character. There’s plenty of room, the beds are very comfortable, and the back garden with outdoor table and seating is wonderful.

Cons: As an old cottage, the lower level has a dank, musty odour. I’m sure it would be fine if the heating were run or it was more frequently used and ventilated. The living and sleeping areas were absolutely fine. The smell was particularly strong in the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen which is a little more unpleasant when dealing with food.

Pros: A stunningly beautiful cottage in the hills above Hebden Bridge. Wonderful countryside views out back. We watched a Barn Owl hunting in the fields from the living room window every evening. The proximity to May's Farm Shop is another massive bonus of staying in this delightful property.

Cons: N/a

Pike View

Pros: Pike View is a beautiful 3 floor period property that has been beautifully renovated. The property is well equipped and needs for nothing. Although situated on a road, the property still maintains its tranquillity and offers fantastic views of the moorlands. Roadside parking could be an issue due to blocking adjacent properties access points.

Wonderful!!

Pros: The location, very handy for Hebden Bridge with wonderful views. Very good information as to the use of equipment. Very comfortable seating and beds. Would recommend the cottage to my friends.

Cons: The stairs took a bit of getting used to, with the deeper step at the top of the lower ground floor and the shallow step at it's base. Otherwise no other problems.

Instantly felt relaxed in such a beautiful place.

Pros: Absolutely spotless. Amazing views. Walks on your doorstep. Heptonstall two pubs serving excellent food. Awesome bus service

Cons: Steep stairs but that’s part of the old building. We soon got used to them
