Black Horse Cottage

Perfect last-minute adventure getaway

Pros: Nice location in the small village of Giggleswick. The cottage feels pretty tucked away and isolated, but a short walk and a hop over the river brings you to Settle town centre. I love how close you are to the great outdoors, with various walks, rides, and caving routes only minutes away.

Cons: A tiny bit noisy at times being directly opposite the local pub, but only really at closing time.

Great little cottage

Pros: The cottage was warm and clean and was located literally a few strides from an excellent pub! There was plenty of crockery etc and the fittings and equipment was of a high standard. The beds and furniture were comfortable.

Cons: Parking proved to be difficult close to the cottage, made worse by our arrival time, just as the children were being collected from school.

Pros: The cottage was very comfortable and handy for our Settle train station. I had an issue with pen lock and cheerful woman who took my call was both helpful and happy to help. Everything is in the cottage that might be needed for a night's stay.

Cons: The pen system, for me, didn't work. The device is not readily visible, which could easily be resolved by including its location

A fantastic cottage in an idyllic location.

Pros: Perfect location to explore the local area. 6 steps from the pub next door which serves great food and drinks- recommended to book. Cottage was warm and cosy. In an idyllic location.

Cons: Kitchen could have been a bit cleaner- one guest is coeliac so we have to be particular about contamination from previous guests. Also shower plug and seal had a film of grime that had been overlooked but easily cleaned.

Lovely cottage

Pros: The accommodation has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was easy to find, however parking was little bit tricky as there’s no parking outside the property, I didn’t mind the short walk from where I parked. Thank you for a lovely stay!
