Pros: Great location in the village. Ideal for visiting relatives. Lovely cottage, well kitted out and very peaceful. Really good find

A Perfect Escape That Left Me Refreshed

Pros: What I loved about the vacation lodge was how calm and clean everything felt the moment I walked in. It was spotless, like someone had really taken their time to prepare the space with care. That made it so much easier to relax. The bed was incredibly comfy and I genuinely slept better than I had in weeks. Lisa was amazing. From the moment I booked to when I arrived, she was so supportive, checking in to make sure I had everything I needed but also giving me space to enjoy my time. It is rare to find hosts who strike that balance so well. I felt looked after without being overwhelmed. The whole place had this gentle stillness that just let me pause, breathe and reset. I didn’t realise how much I needed it until I was there. Honestly, I left feeling lighter.

Cons: Honestly, everything was perfect. There was nothing I didn’t like. It felt just right from start to finish.

A great place to stay if you are in the area. The hosts are considerate and helpful. Recommended

Pros: There were a few food items provided by the host which were much appreciated, including milk, bagels, butter and crisps. The lodge was very quiet and in a good location for our trip to the area. Richmond and Northallerton were both a short drive away. There were plenty of places to walk in the area. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Cons: We had a few minor issues that we mentioned to the host who was very responsive and respectfully considered our feedback. Overall the stay was excellent.

Just quite and cosy exactly what I was after

Pros: Stayed in Brompton on swale for. 2 week course and spent the first 6 nights at a local pub , it was noisy and was hard to relax . Arrived at the lodge to lovely welcome from the owner and some nice treats in the fridge . The even put the heating on so it was nice and warm when I arrived at 9 pm . Everything was great , bed is very comfortable and bathroom and shower was great . If you want piece and quite then it’s amazing for that never heard a sound in all the time I was there . Perfect for me and getting out on my mountain bike which the owner let me store in his garage. Loved it and would definitely stay again

Brilliant stay, if we are ever up that neck of the woods again we will definitely return.

Pros: The decor, comfort and cleanliness of the cottage was excellent. Collecting the keys from the key safe was straight forward. It was very warm during our stay so our host bought a good quality fan without being asked - brilliant service.

Wish this had been available on some of our previous trips to the area!

Pros: The location was perfect for us because we had an event to attend at the Beeswing (local pub), so it was nice to be within walking distance. The lodge itself was gorgeous and it was very very relaxing. Really nice bathroom and a comfy bed.

Cons: This isn't a complaint about the Lodge at all, just a heads up that it was almost too small for us and our medium/largish dog. If you're a solo traveler with dog or couple without a dog (or with a tiny dog :) ) then you'd probably be more comfortable.
