We loved our stay and will definitely be back

Pros: We didn’t have breakfast. Dinner was lovely. We loved the bar, restaurant and cosy fires. Also loved the bedrooms round the gardens…

Cons: Woukd have been a nice touch to have a couple of table lamps in the rooms

Excellent mini break with dog

Pros: Hotel apartment was spotlessly clean. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Underfloor heating in the apartment was a bonus. Bathroom was a good size and designed to a high standard. Comfortable stay and dog friendly throughout. Food was excellent, especially the vegetarian breakfast and vegan parsnip and feta tarte tatin. Fenced off field was great to let our dog have some exercise. Located a short drive into Thirsk market town. Would definitely stay again.

Cons: Only slight minor faults were that there was no light over the tea and coffee making area and the hot and cold settings on the shower were plumbed the wrong way round.

Pros: The food was amazing the room and location was fantastic. From temple spa in the room underfloor heating drying wardrobe proper tea and coffee and real milk!! Gun safe and good entrance so if you have muddy boots on not to worry. Being gluten free it was fantastic to have a wide choice to choose from. For breakfast there's plenty to choose from again can be done gluten free. The staff were all lovely.

Cons: The mattress could of done with a topper on but other than that nothing

Overall, a lovely spot for a short getaway!

Pros: Peaceful location with lovely views. Good quality spacious accommodation. Log fires and a good atmosphere.

Cons: I was slightly disappointed with the food, but maybe that’s because my expectations were very high. I also thought breakfast was quite expensive at £20 per head, given you could only choose 1 option from the menu, with none of the usual fruit juice and other such smaller items included.

Great food, lovely room and friendly, welcoming and helpful staff

Pros: The staff, the room, the food, the atmosphere. Thoughtful touches included umbrellas for the walk to the restaurant (25m) in the open air. Will definitely return
