The Lodge at Horton Hall Retreat

Lovely stay for family of 4 adults , the lodge wasn’t large but plenty big enough for us and our dog , cosy and warm

Pros: Remote location Plenty of parking ( 2 cars ) Outside space safe for dogs Plenty of crockery / utensils etc Lovely and warm Decorated for festive season

Cons: Uncomfortable seating in living room

Pros: Location,Garden,peaceful.Good amenities. Decorating lovely....gorgeous surroundings...Loved it

Cons: Sofa small & very slippery!.. Single duvets,not great quality & heavy,lumpy. No Internet connection to TV - did report

A real home-from-home

Pros: A lovely self-catering lodge, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Open plan lounge / kitchen/ dining area. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Comfy beds and great night's sleep as the area is so quiet and peaceful. With fencing all around, it's ideal for anyone wanting to bring their dog. Really good location - Skipton is only a 15-minute drive with Pendle Hill, Clitheroe, Preston, and Blackpool, all within easy travelling distance. Would definitely stay again and can highly recommend.

Cons: Prior to arrival, we were made aware that the internet connection could be intermittent. However, we found it rarely worked at all. There are no shops or pubs within walking distance.

Beautiful lodge and lovely isolated area for a fab break with the dogs.

Pros: Everything you could possibly need is supplied in the lodge and sparkling clean

Cons: WiFi is bad but that really isn’t why you go to a peaceful and remote lodge. The gate isn’t secure for small dogs. Wire mesh on the gate would help with this.

Fantastic! Will definitely be going back as I stayed there to visit family nearby.

Pros: Incredible place to stay!! Everything was perfect! It was clean, comfortable, had everything you need with fantastic views with amazing walks around it for my dog.

Pros: Location perfect for our trip Host was in regular contact pre and throughout the trip Its such a private space, with its own gardens and a little stream (Fenced off) at the bottom This has everything you need for 4 adults.

Cons: Having to leave the property, as it was such a great 3 night stay Wifi wasn't the greatest, but I was there to relax not stream video's

Super location for exploring the local area. Peaceful and very comfortable.

Pros: We loved the fact the space was private and enclosed as we took a dog with us. There was everything you might need to cook with and the indoor and outdoor spaces were perfect for our requirements.

Cons: There were four of us therefore we ran out of toilet roll and sourced our own. Some fresh milk and a loaf of bread might have been a nice touch but the instant coffee and UHT milk did the job.

Enjoyable stay and found the location ideal…. Would recommend and would stay again. .

Pros: The lodge is a home from home and is very dog friendly. It sits in a lovely rural location but within short driving distance of places of interest restaurants, shops etc. We had a relaxing 3 days and it had all the facilities including a dishwasher, washing machine microwave, ironing board and a fan which made our stay more enjoyable. The host kept us well informed prior to and during our visit and were easily contacted when we required any help..
