Pros: Large house with space for everyone to escape to if you are a family of 5-6. Having 2 bathrooms is really helpful. Tastefully decorated. It’s a really warm space even in the winter. Really close to the city centre for walking. There’s a small Sainsbury’s local close by if you have forgotten anything.
Cons: With no double glazing on the windows the noise from the railway line, pub at the end of the street and neighborhood dogs was challenging to say the least. Our first night was extremely disturbed even for our teenagers who usually sleep through anything ! A lock on the first floor bathroom door which does not close would be really appreciated for the price of the property. To use a hair bobble is really not good enough and there are several comments about this in the guest book. A microwave , sieve ,and tea towels were lacking in the kitchen. The coffee machine was defective and produced cold coffee. Having a file system with instruction books for the kitchen would be good. We could not get the oven to work for our breakfast the first morning as we did not realise it was gas! The book took some finding! The stairs are narrow and steep so no good at all for anyone with mobility problems and if my children were really small, stair gates would absolutely be needed. These might seem like small details but they add up to a lot when paying a considerable amount of money for a 2 night stay. Attention to the smallest of details is expected.

Wonderful stay in our favourite city
Pros: It’s a beautiful period, 3 storey townhouse - very clean with good facilities. Kitchen is kitted out very well. Comfortable beds and nice crisp linen and towels. Nice hand soap provided. We would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Nothing to dislike about the property. It is longer than 5 mins walk into city centre, more like 10 mins walk or 15 mins stroll, but this didn’t bother us. As hand soaps are provided, can I suggest possibly shower gel be provided too? But honestly, the house is beautiful.

A really lovely home to stay in whilst in York.
Pros: Location fab for walking to train station and town. Very clean. Loved quirky pictures. Loved decor. All the beds were really comfortable and I was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.Point of contact was really nice. Wished we were staying more than one night!
Cons: A welcome pack. Just a pint of milk in the fridge would be greatly appreciated. Bathroom door lock doesn't work...a black elastic band is their solution.

Great acconadation within walking distance of York
Pros: Clean and good facilities. Good communications with the host. Would stay again and recommend
Cons: Only a small point but the stairs/step were very steep out of the main bathroom and was nervous of children going up and down stairs. Maybe a child gate or something to avoid any accident?
