Vas' York House

Perfect location, perfect hosting and very welcoming. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Pros: The staff were very welcoming and nothing was an issue. They made us feel at home the whole time we were there. The 3 bed room was very spacious and was perfect for what we needed.

Cons: It was very cold at night in our room. Im not saying this is the properties fault as the radiator in our room was on. We had been out in the cold until early hours and when we got back we could not warm up. So if your a cold person like us then I would say take an extra blanket going in cold months.

Great value for money and ideal location.

Pros: Fantastic location, great value for money. Clean and tidy, comfy bed and soft towels. Friendly host.

Good location and hospitality

Pros: Cheap, cheerful property well situated to the tourist attractions, train station and river. Vas allowed us to check in early, was very helpful with parking and the triple room was spacious and comfortable.

Cons: Bathroom was a little tired, but totally fine. !

Pros: I was offered breakfast but didn’t partake as I preferred to eat out personally this time. The location was excellent, close to everything. The owners ‘Vas’ & ‘Lucy’ were attentive, chatty and genuine, appreciated how social they were and willing to spend time with me. They kindly invited me to watch the football with them but I was just feeling quite introvert as I was gearing up for a big race!

Cons: I could really complain about anything to be honest.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay and felt very well looked after from the moment we arrived. The location is excellent - a quiet street just a few minutes’ walk from the main attractions of the city centre, with the railway station also very close. The room was clean, comfortable and exactly what we needed. The host was friendly, helpful and welcoming, and did everything he could to make our stay easy and enjoyable. We really appreciated his kindness and hospitality. Highly recommended, and we would happily stay here again.

Good location

Pros: Location spot on 5mins into centre, owner very welcoming lovely people, room was big and fine for the night. Car park just through the passage way about 2 minute walk if there isn't enough parking on street.

Cons: Only criticism even though you can get a drink from the kitchen downstairs i would have liked to have had the option of a kettle etc in the room as when I wake i love a cuppa in a morning without getting dressed first. Other than that the stay was fine

Amazing property, clean, and Vas is a very brilliant house owner

Pros: It was accessible and clean. Supplies are ready to use and the bed and sheets and the towels smell super nice

Excellent location and good accomodation with an excellent landlord

Pros: Easy walking distance from railway station and the town centre. Very friendly landlord. Given access to the kitchen so breakfast simple (we ate out for other meals). Bed comfortable. Excellent value for money

Cons: Given the low price everything was up to the standard we expected

Pros: Very convenient location, easy to reach city by walking distance. Room is big enough for 2 person to stay

Lovely, warm in room and nice clean and fresh bedding with plenty of space too. Would stay there again if returned back

Pros: Ideal location as near the city centre and train station which was very handy.

Cons: All was great but the bathroom was rather nippy as no heater in there also some mould in the shower which would be benefit re sealing or clean up.
