Stay at the barn

Pros: I thought the property was very well thought out, we had everything we needed. It was immaculately clean, very comfortable and spacious. Our host was wonderful and very kind. She made us a crumble which was lovely and my mother polished off the rest on the 2nd and 3rd days. The location was beautiful in the countryside with horses down the road but it was easy to get to other towns quickly by car. We would happily stay again.

Quirky accommodation in great location for York and the Dales

Pros: Small but with everything you need for a base to see York and the dales.

Great location, lovely hosts

Pros: The location of the barn was lovely as was the crumble and cream, not to mention a bottle of wine that we were greeted with. There were all the pots and pans etc you needed and the kitchen was well laid out. The hosts, Graham and Lesley were marvellous too.

Cons: The stairs were a little steep, but that more to do with being 68 I reckon...

Quiet barn, great location- easy access to York, walks, market towns.

Pros: Easy collection - parking good too. Lovely to be greeted with the phrase ‘Would you like some rhubarb crumble?’. And yes, it was tasty!

Stunning sunsets in the Yorkshire countryside.

Pros: The cottage was in beautiful countryside - peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were on holiday in France but they were in constant contact and their treats were much appreciated. Great location for exploring York and Harrogate, and we had a wonderful day at the Great Yorkshire Show. Will definitely stay in this well appointed cottage again.

Cons: Our stay was too short.

Beautiful cottage. Lovely surroundings. Hosts went above and beyond.

Pros: Absolutely lovely cottage. Well equipped, and even though we took our extra large dog crate for our young Labrador, we fitted in nice and easy. All equipment easy to use. Lovely welcome. Beautiful surroundings where had some lovely dog walks. Everything was clean and tidy. Didn't want for anything.

Cons: Only thing is the cottage has wooden stairs which our young Labrador didn't know quite how to deal with. Turns out she's alot heavier then last time we needed to lift her. 😆 🤣
