Pleasant

Pros: The location and the room were fabulous. The bed was confirmed but we only stayed one night so it didn’t ultimately really matter.

Cons: I didn’t like the firm mattress it was very uncomfortable.

As always, a wonderful hotel!

Pros: Such a wonderful hotel. Stayed here a number of times now and never fails to impress. Amazing room with fantastic views of the Cow And Calf rocks, the staff are so accommodating and friendly, the food is excellent, and we always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. Thank you for making our time with you so special.

Fine for a relaxing night away

Pros: Lovely pub and hotel, somewhere we’d been looking at staying in for a while. Very cosy and the room was a great size

Cons: The bed was a bit too firm for our liking but others may disagree. The bathroom had a bit of a bad smell in it but it didn’t affect the rest of the room. Room did get a bit cold in the middle of the night and you could feel the draft from the windows when you got close

Very good and comfortable

Pros: It’s character and cosiness, and lovely big room (1)

Cons: Would have liked cereals , yogurt, etc out at breakfast time, as well as options on the menu. Cooked breakfasts were delicious.

Pros: The staff were both courteous and helpful. The Cow and Calf is situated in a superb location. The stonebuilt guesthouse has it's own character - a pleasure to spend time in. Our room was also wonderful. We would certainly stay there again and recommend it to others.

Pros: It was conveniently located for what we wanted. It was spacious with good facilities

Cons: The only negative comment was that the extractor fan in the bathroom did not work but we reported it
