A lovely stay overall.

Pros: The location is superb, the room was lovely and very clean. The fires were lit and the food and beer was great. A very lovely old world hotel. Perfect for an autmn mini-break.

Cons: Check in could have been slightly quicker and easier but that really is a very minor quibble.
