Fantastic stay. Would recommend

Pros: We loved our stay! We had a dog friendly room in the cottages. The private, fenced yard had a beautiful view. The room was modern and clean. We were given fresh milk for our drinks, which was a nice touch over the teeny cartons in other places. Our dog was allowed with us whilst we dined in the bar area. All the staff were wonderful. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We had a beautiful breakfast too, again the staff were able to accommodate us with the dog, (separate to the main dining area), which was great for us.

Cons: The only ever so slight criticism was that the outdoor furniture was a little dirty, however, we were there in February, we weren't exactly going to sit outside. I expect these are cleaned down ready for warmer weather.

Pros: Lovely comfortable hotel and very clean. Great location for touring the area. Nice atmosphere to the place when we came back in each evening

Cons: Only once got hot water at the bathroom basin . (Shower was good though). Both dormer windows need a bit of maintenance.

So welcoming, simply wonderful

Pros: The property to itself was absolutely stunning, all modernised, spotlessly clean. The staff was just exceptional, very welcoming. Perfect location and surroundings. Definitely going to visit again in the upcoming months.

Pros: The hotel was very clean and warm and served a fantastic breakfast. A five minute walk to the amazing falls so perfect location and we got engaged here. The room was also just perfect

Pros: Clean, well presented, with friendly helpful staff. Good food- lovely breakfast and we ate in the bar the evening before. Comfortable bed with cosy bedding.

A very comfortable stay with outstanding food

Pros: We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t fault the food — the Full English breakfast was quite possibly the best we’ve ever had, beautifully cooked and truly memorable. The room itself was very comfortable and well presented. Our only minor observation is that ventilation relied solely on the patio door; a window in the main living area would have been a welcome addition. That said, this was a small detail in what was otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable sta

Cons: While the property was comfortable, we did find that every area was excessively warm. Even if the outside temperature had been below freezing, the heating would still have felt over the top. A little more moderation or guest control would not only have made the environment more comfortable, but might also help reduce business running costs.

A great experience

Pros: Quality place to stay. Great food. Staff were professional and polite.

Cons: When I'm travelling alone, I notice staff that are friendly and take the time to get to know me and make me feel welcome Though a fantastic place to stay I'd have liked a little more engagement and warmth in this regard.

Pros: Ticked all the boxes for what we were looking for. Great service, great food and a well stocked bar with local ales and a wide range of quality wines and spirits. The atmosphere was welcoming and there is a nice balance between the modern and the traditional. The experience extends to the rooms which were clean, warm and comfortable with all the facilities you expect. Thoroughly recommend.
