A lovely family friendly welcoming place

Pros: Lovely friendly family owned place the rooms are close to everything. Yet they are quiet. So friendly and welcoming. Even had toys and books available for little one to play with. Food was really lovely ( huge portions)

Cons: Perhaps paint over the water stain on the ceiling from a previous water leak. Otherwise we loved everything

Superb - I will definitelyreturn (soon) regularly.

Pros: Convenient to get to. Comfortable and the owners were super helpful when my arrival was delayed till just after midnight. Super breakfast and the only place I’ve heard of that offers a ‘small full English’ - such a good idea. I want to stay here and use it as a base to walk from rather than just an overnight stop.

Pros: Stop gap stay on route to Carlisle. It's at the side of the A66, but didn't hear traffic noise. Staff were lovely. The rooms could just do with some updating bit of paint here and there. Ensuite was small but adequate for our needs. Curtains didn't join in the middle and dead flies on window sill was a bit disappointing. Owners were lovely and the food was amazing both evening meal and breakfast. Although it had little faults as described I would definitely recommend and stay as an overnighter again.

Friendly, comfortable, convenient and ideal when travelling with a dog.

Pros: Friendly welcome. Pet friendly with thoughtful extras for dog and plent of space to walk her. I did not try any of the food

Layover in Rokeby

Pros: One night layover in the family room at the inn. Despite being right beside the A66, we heard no road noise at all from our room. Our young kids made use of the toys and books available in the hallway outside our room. Great cooked breakfast.
