Overall, an enjoyable stay in a clean and comfortable hotel with hardworking, pleasant staff.

Pros: Staff were polite, obliging and friendly. Good atmosphere in the bar and dining area. Food was very good, especially the cooked breakfast but the fish finger sandwich for previous day's lunch was revolting with the fish skin concealed inside the batter. Bed and room very comfortable but the heat was quite unbearable and difficult to turn down, something I see has been commented on previously but the person who replies to these comments obviously has no clout since nothing has been done.

Cons: The noise outside the hotel, especially the road works late at night, were very annoying but that was unfortunate and not the fault of the hotel. The toaster at breakfast was inadequate.

Great hotel.

Pros: Very comfortable bed. Amazing location. Very helpful staff. We got into the hotel's car park which was very useful.

Cons: Pricey bar, especially soft drinks.

Left smilling, happy chap

Pros: Location, staff, decor, bedroom, dinner service… had a lovely evening followed by a good sleep & my 2 Spaniels were made very welcome too, will be back

Cons: Parking a bit difficult but you can drop off & get limited time parking in the market square, long stay carpark a 10 min walk & car charging available if that’s important

Lovely hotel, desserts for valentines menu needs some work. Not quite sure about the Sponge with Pineapple

Pros: Fantastic location, comfortable and bathroom to die for. The first floor stairs and function rooms are delightful

Fantastic location

Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff. Bed very comfortable. Loved you could take fresh milk from reception up to your room for a good cup of tea!

Cons: We ate in the town except for one evening. Unfortunately the dinner in the restaurant was not very good; dishes lacked flavour.

Very enjoyable, will stay again

Pros: Great location. Lovely lounge/bar area and dining room. Our room was spacious and very comfortable.

Cons: A minor gripe but a lift would have been handy especially for unloading/loading car. Parking could be a problem.

Pros: Super friendly staff. Lovely room. Very comfortable lounge and bar area. Good selection of food in the restaurant. Perfect location for spending a lazy weekend in and around Richmond.
