Whashton Springs Farmhouse B&B

Charming and peaceful Rural stay with a great location.

Pros: The location just outside of Richmond is perfect, many attractions are close and the country side is beautiful. The B&B is well appointed and the owner Jane goes over and above to make your stay exceptional. The quality of the breakfast and quantity is very good. The rooms are spacious and have a great view over the back lawn and garden. In summer it would be lovely to sit on the back lawn and look at the native birds.

Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like. We choose it because of the good reviews it has received. We were not disappointed.

Pros: I liked the room & the area was really nice. Knowledge about the area was very good & helpful.

Pros: Lovely place and hosts who were very thoughtful and attentive. Nice room and comfy bed. Excellent breakfast.

Cons: A comment rather than what we didn't like and it is more for Booking.com NOT for the property itself When we booked through Booking.com with the options of payment, to pay at the property is a good point BUT it wasn't clear that the property doesn't accept credit card, we found the statement was at the end after we booked!! as we don't usually carry cash around with us on holiday. Soon after the booking wee had an email to pay the deposit to keep the room or pay the whole amount by credit card so we did. The panic of not having enough cash is over:)

Pros: Super view, great location, fantastic breakfast. Highly recommend.

Pros: Beautiful farmhouse delightful stop on our way to the Peak District. We would definitely come back.

Pros: It is in an amazing spot with easy access to accommodation & within a working farm .

Pros: Don't know where to start.. Probs with Jane I guess.. Jane is the perfect host.. My mum travelled up first and spent the night I travelled up the second night.. Felt like my mum was well looked after.. Jane got in touch with me to say my mum couldn't get service on her phone and let me know she was OK and settled ect.. There's free WiFi but my mum's getting older so Jane helped her. I joined her on the second evening the B&B is well sign posted, ample parking, welcoming and just beautiful.. Breakfast was gorgeous and cater for gluten free too! Just a really good experience can't fault in any area.. We would definitely go again.. Thank you Jane.. Zoe and Caroline xx

Cons: Everything.. We had a double twin room with en suite..it was beautiful..

Pros: Breakfast was excellent - good quality and quantity, plus it was very tasty. The welcome was friendly with clear instructions. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Beautifully situated, very comfortable, warm welcome and excellent breakfast.

Pros: We had a really comfortable stay in the most glorious countryside. We received a warm welcome from Jane Turnbull who gave us some excellent recommendations for good places to eat locally. We chose the Millbank arms which was about 20 minutes away and were amazed at the quality of the food and the great atmosphere. We had a nice suite in the courtyard, consisting of two bedrooms and a shared bathroom and enjoyed a comfortable night’s sleep. Breakfast was superb, complete with two of my guilty pleasures: black pudding, and fried bread! We sat in the bay window, looking out on the gardens.. The gardens are beautiful and in fact we didn’t really want to leave it was so nice!
